This was a serious question because I was factorying strongman as The Killer into my interpretation of the PR order of operations as far as name tag exchanges go. But Jamie's explanation there told me my assumption about how it worked was completely wrong.
Side note I already put this in my J'accuse post but I'll say it again to be helpful and clear, you got the order wrong ~2.5 hours ago, it's BFCMD, jsyk

Why would it be a scumslip?

It might be an attempt at a townslip but why would it be a scumslip? Scum would know all this already.
Before I re-asked my call gm question and you answered, Rumi wrote this:

The way the Bus Driver interacts with the name tags is a bit broken in this setup if you ask me, because it occurs to me that the Bus Driver can *choose* which person's name tag they steal, and which person they give their original name tag to.

Maybe I am thinking about this too much. Meh.
No. I fully agree with you. Night events are an order of operations problem: BCFSD
Bus trades on swap
Cop trades on scan
Florist trades on delivery
Strongman trades on kill
Doctor trades on heal

Neon claimed the flower delivery. So assuming that is true, it means Neon has drag's original tag, and the Strongman now has Neon's.

But on the subject of your thoughts that Bus Driver is broken, do you feel it would be less so if Bus came after Cop or Florist in the order of operations.
Bolding is mine.

Also Rumi's order is wrong, it's BFCMD.

Rumi's post is why I re-asked my question. Because only scum would know which scum went to perform the kill.

And specifically the google doc setup says mafia, not strongman:

Code: Select all

> MAFIA kill/overkill

Ok, fair. The answer is that the Mafia collectively decide on which one of them will perform the kill, and it can be any of them - however if they want to use the Strongman power then of course on that night in particular it has to be the Strongman that performs the kill. I'll let DemonVHS confirm this but I am 100% confident of this answer.
Okay. I guess I didn't read the setup close enough. I thought strongman performed the kill.
I don't think this is an open and shut case of scumslip.

Rumi has been very active and self-aware in the thread, and could have remembered what he wrote 2 hours ago.

But I think it's suspicious to pro-actively say "oops I was wrong about that" when no one's even pointed it out yet. There's being self-aware, and there's trying to distract someone from pointing out that you messed up.

Am I completely off-base here?
Maybe the problem is I didn't read the rules and clearly have not been reading them carefully enough.

I have comprehension issues. I kind of thought kill/overkill meant they were the same thing because of the slash in them.

Just to make sure.

##CALL GM

Do all of the Name Tags which have no special modifiers or effects, have the actual word "Vanilla" on them?
I think the Elliot Ness nametag says "you scan as Vanilla"
the google doc says "Scan as INNOCENT"

the binaries are:

vanilla vs pr
innocent vs guilty
town vs mafia

I still have a lot of pages to read.

Bona is a good wagon. Eden and Snowy are bad wagons.

##vote Celaph
This doesn't make sense to me. Why would rdr say Bona is a good wagon then immediately vote for Celaph. I don't see any clear reasoning or logic to this.
If Bona and Rivera are scum teammates, maybe it makes sense.

I'd be quite fine with a Rivera wagon.

##Vote rivera

Oh boy, if I'm on personal vanity wagons, I'm basically just the "for awareness" of votes
You don't make any sense with this Bona and Rivera are teammates.

Show me a game where I have openly tried to defend a scum teammate?

If I was scum with Bona I would either buss him hard or ignore him and wait to see if he get less pressure.

So, go to fake another reason to vote me. In fact, It's a bit of OMGUS but I don't think you are doing this on good faith (I like this expression).

Four of the following one people are mafia:

Bona
bo
snowy
celaph
Chaqa
ghug
MindGoblin
pyxxy
rdrivera
Vecna
Is that in any particular order?

How does one feel about pyxxy specifically?
Bot order

I dunno. I got the impression pyx was kind of lurking in the background and not doing a lot, but then pyx came in with the scum slip question about Rumi which, while I don’t particularly agree with the theory, is a theory that looks like it plausibly came from town

~~~
Relatedly I feel like you’re doing a lot of 20 Questions type stuff and I’m not seeing where you’re headed with it. Reminds me of M70 a bit. Sup with that?
Thank you for reminding us.
So assuming Chaqa told the truth about that, his vote on Rdrivera is currently meaningless other than to indicate his suspicions.
