In what world does the mafia leave the only investigative role alive in a game without a roleblock?

I don't know, maybe they think I'm a valid dayvote? Also from the setup it's actually a pretty weak scan role. Come to think about it, if you play it wrong, you might just out your other PR's. And if they send someone do the nk'ing who is broadly townread, it's highly unlikely to target that person for a scan, isn't it? Maybe I should change my scan behaviour.

Why'd you scan damo?

I wanted to have more info on damo. As you can see from the readlist, he's the lowest so with all the information before I thought he is the highest possible mafia. If I catch him visiting the nk-target, then he is mafia. If I don't see him visit anyone, it doesn't say too much about his alignment. If I see him visiting anyone else, that clears him from being mafia, but might just out a PR if I say it, wouldn't it?

So currently I want not to say if he did visit someone else or not, but he didn't visit snowy.

Wouldn't be shocked if scum team doesn't involve kakarot and they just killed snowy for being the most active/inquisitive - scum who did the kill was likely not on kaka's radar so they didn't worry too much about him?

Relatively happy. There were no scum tells on anyone really speaking prior to my casting of the vote and unfortunately I was pulled away from the game by RL before the EoD.

That being said after combing through the EoD I didn't see any obvious scum slips based on what we knew then, so given that we were firing a shot into the dark, why not fire it at someone who is equally as likely to be scum as anyone else while also being someone who has offered literally zero to town in all prior games as well?

In terms of expected value of D1 votes, which tend to be popularity contests no matter the site (barring completely catastrophic scum play), a vote for lfischlI is probably the highest expected value vote given the downside of being wrong is far lower than the downside of being wrong on anyone else and the odds of hitting scum are about equal. I especially like it since it was the counterwagon to killing you, the supposed tracker.

Hrm, I once thought in the same way with the lurker/unhelpful voting, but there were some games where town did so, hit the mafia lurker d1 and lost the game. The problem with this is that town gets no good information and follow up days are lacking. I mean it is still an okay way in my opinion and I like some players to contribute more, but then there are these who post little and still manage to be impactful.

From that result, would you now go to the next lurker/low participant? Who should we go for now?
