ocarina of time is so bad. It's the Chrono trigger of Adventure games. Just basic and uninteresting but everyone played it as kids and didn't get to play the YS games so we have to pretend it's actually in the running for best game of all time.

Ocarina of Time by itself is a pretty basic but epic swashbuckler adventure. (And one of the first which makes it stand out)
But what makes it a masterpiece is when you include Majoras Mask as a two game parter.

You need Ocarina of Time as a base for Majoras Mask to work. But the combo is just perfect.

Most of the games you've mentioned I've never heard of haha. I'll look into them one day!

Three Houses was exactly the hit that FE neded.

Switch is having a second RPG rennesance with FE, Triangle strategy, Xenoblade, and Octopath

I enjoyed all the Fire Emblem games until Awakening and then I wanted nothing to do with them. (I even got the Japanese exclusive ones, Fire Emblem 4 is basically Game of Thrones and it's story was insane for it's time. I really enjoyed it)

Just.... Umm... Don't be me with it.

Spent 100 hours on first playthrough in 2 weeks. And it has four playthroughs.... It's a lot of busy work that should probably skip, but is pretty great.

Awakening is one of my most hated games. The fact everyone says Awakening is great is a big part why I do not trust Chrono Trigger will get better.

FF5 is my favorite FF

I won't call it the best (I think FF6 takes that mark) but I never catch myself replaying an FF quite like I do 5

I couldn't even tell you why really, I think on paper it should be behind some others, but it just does everything it set out to do perfectly

But I have no interest in dating the characters as a self insert avatar.

I could even handle dating them if every single scene felt like the characters turning to me, the player, and saying "Do you want to Fuck me?" It's bad enough with the main cast, but when they're 11 years old, I just couldn't.
