Hmm. And who seems most resigned of this group to you?

I think snowy wouldn’t let it show.

But the rest?
Snowy has totally let it show as scum in the past. Tom is the obvious answer for disengagement. Chaqa too. kgray was for a while, but seems to have harnessed a bit of new fire. Sabi is resigned, but I townread them and there are obviously other things at play there. Doom and Eden both seem eager as ever.
You think hunting for disengagement is effective for catching scum?
It's quite useful for getting townreads, especially in certain contexts

Your recent scumgames have disillusioned me of the idea that you're unreadable.
Ooh, expand?
I mean, I had the benefit of full knowledge in both (GM, teammate) which might be making me overconfident, but he didn't seem indistinguishably good at it. His paranoia and brainbombesque tendency to bounce all over the place are both hard to fake.
Ok, If I assumed Vecna is trash at scum, he can join the town pile. I'll double check his scum games though one day

##vote jamie

still in the middle of my snowy reread, probably will change
##V0TE JAMIE

He does seem resigned.
Interesting. Does he seem more resigned now than he has all game?
I don’t see him. Normally he’s jumping at the but with good news for town. I only ever see him this game when someone summons him by voting for him. Or when he’s saying something funny. That sounds resigned to me.

I agree with that Flum, but I have an issue believing that ghug has conviction about anything he just said.

He says I’m the obvious choice, but you could argue I’ve come across as disengaged all game.

He says Chaqa has come across as disengaged, but he and I both know Chaqa and Chaqa would be disengaged if a game slows as either alignment.

I don’t reallly have a sense on what he says about kgray, so I’ll leave that be.

PE certainly wouldn’t be disengaged if he is scum. He loves listening to himself talk more than anyone here.

No thoughts on Jamie, who I would argue has had the quietest game I’ve been a part of?

It seems like he just picked certain people and shoehorned them into this theory tbh

He's not trash as scum, look at M1016 for an example. That's the game ghug is referring to that ghug GM'd, where Vecna won in kylo, after being fairly universally townread all game.

I'd also like to know what ghug sees in Vecna this game that's remotely brainbombesque.

disengagement theory potentially implicates tom, ghug, jamie, vecna imo. probably vecna the most, jamie next, ghug next, tom last.

idk how much weight to place on that theory, but those are the ones coming to mind and the rough order

ghug is more engaged than tom, but as tom pointed out, it's less about the engagement itself and more the change in engagement, and how it correlates to mafia's fortunes in the game

tom has been at a consistent level of (low, relative to the rest of us) engagement throughout the game, whereas ghug has varied from background to forefront throughout.

if i wanted to get more precise it's vecna > jamie >>> ghug > tom though, i think it's only really indicative for vecna and perhaps jamie

Depends on the person.
Ok. Let’s use Eden as an example since that is a person you used. You would expect Eden to come across as disengaged if he were scum right now? Because I wouldn’t.
If Eden were disengaged right now, I would suspect it to be because he's scum. The fact that he's not doesn't really tell me anything either way.

He was scum MVP in one of those games. Trash is too strong.

in particular, i think if you really bought into the idea, you'd suspect vecna the most for it. to the extent i can be said to have "caught" him in my final hours of life in m67, i did so off of his relative lack of engagement and specifically his lack of enthusiasm at our very hot start.

i don't have something off the cuff for jamie in the same way

and i don't really suspect ghug or tom off of this idea too much

Jamie's general disengagement is a point against him. He hasn't become more disengaged recently in my mind.

Your general disengagement is also a point against you, but I was hoping your engagement would rise after your weekend trip, and the fact that it hasn't has to be considered independently.

I think I'm going to be somewhat less engaged all weekend. I wouldn't fault someone for noticing that the onset of that coincided with the start of the day.

The stinkiness of my wagon suggests that the remaining scum aren't Tom/kgray/Jamie specifically, at least. Would be useful if we could ever flip any of them.
