If I were him and I enjoy playing I might try to help town and have some fun for a phase. see how good my reads are before biting the dust.

I’m getting killed because I was roleblocked and there was no N2 kill.

I was not the person carrying out the kill, so the roleblock had no impact on that, and instead just incriminated me by happenstance.

That means we either hit 3rd party - Hamilton Brian - or they are lying about their item and are bullterproof instead which seems unlikely.
