Oh oh, I know! We could all play one of the (minor) gods, like with the flavour from HR! How about that!

@ghug @brain @maniac which of the (minor) greek gods would you be? (Or in case you say you are already a god or half-god, who would be your parents?)

Also, since he hasn't been here ##vote Chaqa because he has an unlucky number. I'm sure he's the god of mischief!

maybe a bit too focused on playfulness

So a quick review of the setup says that there's always:
8 VT
1 Miller

And then all of the other roles on each side except, missing one of these pairs:
(1) Town Roleblocker / Janitor
(2) Inventor / Ninja
(3) Doctor / Goon
(4) Watcher / Driver
(5) Journalist / Godfather
(6) Cop / Stalker

So we can probably figure out the exact setup down the line, but we should wait until the Werewolf has been neutralized.
why would we need to figure out the exact setup? why does that matter?

I dont personally think my game will be affected by what town pr or scum pr are in play. I have no interest or desire to care about such details unless scum somehow slips through a fake pr claim and that happens so seldom I cant imagine why we should give a shit

Its kinda weird you do this for celaph but cling vehemently to your NAI stance on macca. can you explain why you treat celaph entirely different than macca?
celaph is usually pretty clearly town or scum to me, so I think in a bit I'll have a good read on him. This vote is not based on any specific posts of his but rather a desire to communicate that I'm watching him.

we can just flip scum members and learn that way.
how would uncovering our own PR be the best way to figure out what scum are in action?

Mafia already knows the setup.

I’m not saying to claim now. I’m saying we can down the line figure it out when it becomes relevant.

God forbid I make a tiny mental note now so we don’t need to argue about it later.

I feel incredibly good about Bona.

Food coats and Macca rub me wrong.

Where’s Jamie?

RHK doing his normal scum thing too

You're misinterpreting the point of this. For every scum we catch, we learn a PR we have, and for any PRs we lose, we learn what we are looking for. This is just a way to quick reference.

We are playing with unequal info compared to the scum, even moreso than usual.

Kind of with brain on this. Makes me feel even dumber having suggested claiming.

Maniac's post...meh, not significant to conclude town/not town.

Damo? Meh, but points some fingers at brain and Chaqa.

Kakarotto? Hmm.

RDR. Not the typical entrance I feel like I remember from them.

Macca: that opening was weird, strangely enthusiastic, but then descends into book discourse.

Demon: not sure how I feel about the opening. Points finger at Bona but then seems to double down on the set-up.

yavu: interesting start. kind of synonymous with Demon.

celaph: is that some early pocketing happening?

ghug: ambivalent about their start. The vote seems to be nothing more than a placeholder until the temperature gets colder.

The remaining 8 players have posted much more so it'll be a longer read from me, but I'd say there's at least 1 scum/wolf in the above group.

See I read this more as tongue in cheek fakeness.
You think that Macca is trying to be fake?
I think Macca was being a little silly.

rdr, you are surprisingly defensive so early in the game when brainbomb merely called you "comfortable." Why do you think you need to fight this so hard? I don't think brain has even said you are scummy.
What is defensive about his response and how on earth do you think he's fighting hard?

I feel like you're just jumping off of brain's comment that he no longer seems comfortable (which I disagreed with) and that makes *me* uncomfortable.
What would you have thought if when you said I was awkward I said “So what if I’m awkward? Is that bad?”

I find rdr hard to read but he seems experienced and cool-headed enough that brainbomb of all people calling him campy and comfortable seems like something utterly undeserving of discussion - unless he is worried that brain is calling him scum.

Why do you think rdr asking “Is that bad?” is NOT defensive? What else COULD it be in Forum Mafia? Shooting the breeze?
Different contexts. Being called awkward is pretty clearly different than being called comfortable, mostly because I'd associate awkwardness with scummy behavior and comfort with towniness. I just don't see a reason for Rivera to be defensive about it, and I didn't think he was being defensive. I also don't think it's at all scummy to want to know how people are reading you.
