30th March 2003.
I look around the dressing room as the new season is about to kick off. I still feel honoured to wear this uniform, but also feel like an outsider. I am an Englishman in New York that has been hooked on the game of Bass-Ball since I arrived on these shores. The game, off course, was invented in my homeland and in many ways resembles cricket. But cricket is far superior generally lasting five days with breaks for lunch and tea and often ends in a tie. That’s real sport. But this new Bass-ball is all they play here and it’s addictive.
This could be my final season. I sense my eyes are going so it may be time to hang up my mitt and become an umpire. Before I go I want to rid this sport of the curse of drugs. But it’s so hard to tell who the cheats are.
Let me introduce you to my team-mates.
1 - Glassy-eye Bona, rookie, new kid on the block. Can knock that ball straight through you.
2. Bozo - the class clown. Always the one for pranks and jolly japes in the dressing room, but seems more distracted these days and is always looking to borrow money.
3. BB - ‘The King’, also in final season but has retained his rockstar looks and wide eyes that stare straight pass you.
4. C-laugh. Laugh a decade. Serious and studious. Knows the sport like the back of his hand. Fast runner but has lost his motivation of late.
5. Damo ‘the Devil’ Davis. Bad boy of the Bass-ball world. Once saw this guy beat up three fans just for looking at him wrong,
6. Darg or Y-Gel - Wonder Player. We all still wonder how the coach’s son even made the team.
7. Durga - their nickname is an anagram of ‘A drug’ which refers to their high-school years. Always showers separately for some reason.
8. Jamie T - another ex-pat and my Bessie mate. Would die for the team. Always thinks the coach is going to cut him from the team.
9. Cagey Ray. Does all their best work in the cages. Shy and retiring, so full of fear when the ball approaches you can see a tremble.
10. lfischl - some new guy whose name I can’t pronounce. Seems to lack coordination.
11. Maniac also known as Handsome for obvious reasons.
12. rdrivera2005 - ahead of his time.
13. Vecna aka “Sicknote” often misses games, turns up late always complaining about dizziness and sickness,.
So that’s the team. I don’t have a clue who is on drugs. They are all hiding it well. But I will get to the bottom of this.
TBC...

1. It's a made up word meaning 'pertaining to an anagram'. Your second question implies you guessed this already. It is important to note only one 'm'. We don't like bad grandmas.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 12:52 pmCan you explain what you mean by "anagramatical" in this context?
What anagram of Durga are you particularly motivated by?
How can the letters in her username possibly be alignment-indicative?
2. Guard a drug. A double anagram. Or maybe U D Rag.
3. They can't. It's a joke.

Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
It is my intention to always vote IMMEDIATELY before the GM posts a count. This is revenge, on my part and I wholeheartedly admit it.
I am rethinking brain. Have we seen any crazy tinfoilbrain theories yet?
Brain really does feel like ole brainy to me. But the 'trying to be funny,' AND the lack of response to the stuff with jamie makes me look again.

##vote JamietJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 10:37 amWell I appear to be totally caught up, and there's so little to be caught up on.
Maniac's long "journal" post appears rather forced. His very first post in the last game, where he was a non-town role, was so forced that I audibly gasped when I read it (as GM). Therefore ##VOTE MANIAC on pure instinct.
what a bucket of shit post

We could, instead, give the questioner the option of using his power as a one shot cop.
We could all make a statement like, "I did not role scum," so that later in the week, he could find out something simple, clear, and useful.

Glad to see nobody talking about mechanics.
When is jamiet ever non-factual?

@DAMO: Is there at least one Mafia member among Maniac, Brainbomb and Durga?
This is the question you wanted to discuss, so here we go, please discuss it.

Odd that darg would formulate this entire motion without properly reading the role.dargorygel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 12:55 pmDamo's question suggestion seems unnecessarily complex.

While I agree that my notion was not as good as damo's... I was attempting to allow the questioner a simple way to use the role. What about this makes you think I didn't read the role?Vecna wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:04 pmOdd that darg would formulate this entire motion without properly reading the role.dargorygel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 12:55 pmDamo's question suggestion seems unnecessarily complex.

We could make our statements, (Note I am no longer proposing this) and give the questioner a clear statement to ask about.

I pointed this out already. You implied you thought the Questioner had to ask the GM about the truth or falsehood of a statement a player had made. (Like how the Lie Detector role actually works).

I'm sorry, my demeanour, tone, style, and dress sense are not alignment indicative.

Yes but then, why do that?dargorygel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:09 pmI said he 'could.' Not that he 'had to.'Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:08 pmI pointed this out already. But ok.
If Dargorygel says "I am not scum", what is the difference between the Questioner asking the GM: (a)Is that statement a lie? or (b)Is Dargorygel scum?, hm? There's no difference, so whether you have the statement or not makes no difference to the ability to get an answer.
