Hmm, can't be yeast then. This bacteria is eaten on its own? (considering there apparently aren't any other products with it)

The bacteria can be eaten on its own, though it can also be mixed with other stuff. When eaten by itself, it is normally solid. When mixed with other things, it can be eaten as a solid or drunk as a liquid.

It has been experimented on people to see if it gave people positive benefits, though the studies provided inconclusive results.
