It kind of felt like scum didn't care which wagon died.

@Teacon, if you're town you have the most info out of anyone. I look forward to your analysis.
While I agree, this post just sounds so scumspired

It is possible kgray was distancing from teacon, then moved off of teacon after teacon became the lead wagon when Vecna gave her the opportunity. Hamilton's EOD vote could have been a cross post with kgray as they both voted to save teacon.

In this scenario, I would go with teacon, kgray, Hamilton, damo, emc, and aarodactyl as my top scum suspects.

Sorry

I think underwhelming. Last time we played together you were digging into everything and asking people to explain their reasoning, and I don't see too much of that in this game. You did question my reads, which seemed towny, but it's not a lot compared to what I would have expected you to engage in. Maybe some of that is Thanksgiving?

I don't know your alignment. I don't think you've done anything scummy, unless Neph turns out to be scum after all, but I'm still not seeing the inquiitive Balki I expected after last game.

Why did you move back to a vanity wagon at EOD? You knew Hamilton wasn't going to be daykilled. Sitting back and letting others decide the vote seems very un-Balki to me.

Why teacon over ND? What do you think of Maniac?

And don't try to buddy me ;)
Good. Let’s reset your expectations to what just happened Day 1, and I will now whelm the eff out of you.

Re wagons, a couple of thoughts I had:

(1) It felt to me like the wagons were pretty fluid actually. I was not totally caught up, but the wagons did not feel like they were backed with much conviction. I didn’t think that a late switch to Hamilton Brian (or someone else) was out of the question.

(2) I honestly didn’t even love the HB wagon, chalk full of Balkis though it may have been. But I felt best there.

(3) I like late vote switches. I think they can generate useful information and expose folks who have more information than the rest of us. And I like them even better when I feel like I have some control over them. I tried to get a bit of that going with the Bunny move to see what would happen, but it didn’t generate much intel except for your move there. Maybe that will prove useful later, maybe not.

(4) Null on Maniac. Such a big roster! I just haven’t spent much time on Maniac, and not much of note has happened with him that I’ve seen anyway. No idea.

(5) I’m honestly very Null on teacon on too. I just felt like we were lynching ND because people don’t like him, and his abrasive/confrontational nature runs so counter to my scum paradigm that I felt he was likely town.
Only point two was whelming here.

You switch back to the killing hobgoblins style

What's Vecna like as scum? You're dismissing my town read of him because you don't like that I think he's being "normal" but I've only ever played with town!Vecna. So if you want me to question that read you need to at least give me some perspective of what you think he's like as scum.
Oh lol I avoided this one again.

I don't remember, honestly. I caught him in M14 I think cause he was ridiculous, but that was his first game. He did an absurd schtick where he pretended to be Caesar and ordered everyone around once. I just know he's always been hard to read for me, so I'm not gonna trust him easily, and I feel like the natural reaction is to be suspicious of people I've only seen as town because I don't have a point of comparison (see HB), so townreading him for being normal is blegh.
That Ceasar game is one if my favorites and we just crushed town...

Scum Vecna is hard to catch, he doesn't have a distinctive tell. But I think one of the Vecna's quality is to be obviously town when he is town, so we just need to wait a bit.

By the way, I think HB is probably scum. His posts at night are really forced, remembered me Damo last game.
I dont even know if the second is true. People just wait for me to flip dead and give me a pass on everything. Whenever im alive past D4 the suspicion grows exponentially every day.

Any competent scumteam would just let me live and let town take care of it but theyre always chicken. Its not even like im a decisive player for town if alive in the endgame, its very hit or miss. Its pretty boring at times just being mostly ignored.

What other reasons do you have to be suspicious of Kgray? Because in a normal flow, there has to be a preceding determinant before you start trying to form connections like this.

Id be very interested in those previous indicators

Because I think he's one of the best town players on this site and in general I do not want to kill him D1.
22. How would you assess his performance so far? Is it a performance befitting one of the best town players? He is not living up to your description of him. Perhaps it was just a fantasy all along, or perhaps the river of time has worn away his once-lofty mind. Awake from your dreams, cast aside the legends of yesteryear, and look upon the real Bozo2020, a shadow of a man barely able to connect one thought to another. Yes, we weep for his memory, but we must play the game in the present.
Still cant shake the feeling this is theatrics scum jamiet

Brainbomb was around at EoD but has not made a single post in the night phase. That is a trifle unusual.

We got one ##vote Damo
:eyeroll:

The 'prob' implies the unstated "assuming he is town". Obviously.

Go vote somewhere worthwhile.
I do not know if I buy damo's explanation.

Also, I question damo avoiding ND vs. teacon with his final vote:

ND and teacon both town imo so

##vote Maniac
a) your prerogative but the explanation is true. Jamie interestingly hasn't obvtowned to his usual obvtowning standard yet. A bit early yet I guess but watching that slot.
b) I don't really get why you question my vote. It was pointless leaving my vote on Durga and I was pretty convinced ND was town so I had to vote teacon or Maniac. Of the two I felt Maniac was less towny so voted there. In hindsight however I probably should have voted teacon being the wagon more likely to save ND which was my prime motivator. Hmmm. I'm a bit annoyed with myself now. O well, can't change it now.

CALL GM: The initial post states mafia have up to 4 roles. Does this mean the actual number is randomized somehow and might be lower than the 4 listed? Or was that just a leftover from the signup and to account for lower player counts?
##GM ANSWER
The exact number of scum in this game has been enumerated as six. It is neither more nor less than six. The exact process wherein Dialectic Materialism led to the economic enumeration of that number is not relevant. (But it might be the result of the evolution of documentation, and authorship by committee. )

This doesn't answer the question.

I'll ask it in a different way. How many goons are there?

If the answer comes back 2-6 [ie consistent with up to 4 roles] it would seem safest to assume 4 power roles and 2 goons.
