In my continuing attempts to bring out players, to my favourite: @kgray, do teacon and vecna still rate highly for you as scum? Why?

I didn't like Vecna's reaction to bozo's post. It just seemed like a bozo version of a shitpost and Vecna trying to make it out to be some distracting scumploy was kind of ridiculous, and made me wonder if he was just looking for reasons to keep moving his vote around. Not much else is bothering me since then.

Teacon's started asking more questions and isn't just talking about drinking, but so far I'm not really getting a very investigative vibe from him. Still, he's participating in the game more than he was so I'm down to null on him.

I think ND is pretty scummy and I also don't particularly like him.

Newest scumread is Neph, not getting good vibes from him at all.

My second point was because when you cut out your post from my reply, I misremembered the context and assumed it was Vecna who'd said BB and you interpreted that as brain.

But now this is even weirder to me that you used BB as shorthand for brain when I haven't seen people do that much...

I always reference Brainbomb as BB and I think most vet people also do it.

The first thing I noticed was that he has learned to use his vote earlier than the last 30 seconds of the day. I would like to think I helped drum this into him by constantly policy voting him for not voting, and by modkilling him for it when I was a GM.

Now looking again in response to your query, the second thing I notice is that he is voting Ghug. He made this vote on the basis that four pages earlier (p.2) he had spouted some mumbo about Ghug "being on the burning pile". Frankly a lot of EMC's posts in this phase have been faintly poetic gibberish. I don't know why he is actually voting for Ghug.

I am town. I did not recall how many scum there were or whether the opening post mentioned how many scum there were. How about you?

It's in the opening set up message IN CAPITALS. I remember it from when I read it. It is after all a fundamental piece of game information.

@Balki - this is my opinion too. For people to not at least know the team compositions on D1 is very concerning.

I see two possibilities: (1) Durga is town who did not recall the part of the OP that said how many scum there were, or (2) Durga is scum who purposefully wrote in the thread that she didn’t know how many scum there were in an effort to look like she must be town.

Do you agree that those are the two possibilities? That is — if she’s scum, she knows how many teammates she has for sure, right?

So, the key question is — do you think it’s plausible that Scum!Durga would post that she doesn’t know how many scum players there are in an effort to get people to think she is Town? I don’t see her doing that. I don’t see her thinking that would be an effective strategy to get town credit.

He seems to be doing far more shitposting than normal, and I'm struggling to think of a single opinion he's actually given - Instead he's alternated between weird buddying of Neph, pure shitpost, and making strange hedgey defences to cast doubt on other people's thoughts without giving any of his own. Usually I find emc to be quite townie, and I ain't getting that feeling at all this game.

i dont see how you could townread the Kgray slot before, but have doubts now. She only recently started her towntelling process, but did so quite convincingly in a way ive never seen her play as scum (and this tell has worked every game since I discovered it).

I have guesses but I don't think they're right, since I couldn't figure out why I was so widely scumread last game (until ghug died, because I was super scummy that EOD).

celaph isn't a vet though. When he posted that, brain had referred to himself as "bb" and worcej had called brain "BB," but it wasn't a recurring thing in this thread. Seems like a quick jump for a new player to start using that shorthand when it's not been used widely in the game.

Aarodactyl is roughly what I'd expect him to do either as town or scum. I expect he'll be pretty decent at this game if he commits to it. I have no read on him though.

Scum kgray I got a good look at last game. Not seeing it yet. Town kgray I’ve had the displeasure of being on the other side of her rage tunnels multiple times. When she’s not doing that, she’s good. But that’s all I’m seeing so far. Which is par for the course D1 town kgray. And now I’ve said it 3 times. Which is enough.

I voted for you because I think you're unpleasant and I'm leaning more towards scum on you than on anyone else so far. I asked ghug to join me because he'd already placed a vote for someone he didn't want to play with.

I don't know why you are asking me particularly but obviously I assumed he was exagerrating but I did sympathise because bozo's post was bugging me (I spent about 2 minutes on it before giving up).

Until these posts I'm getting to now, I saw nothing from you that registered more than "I'm posting!" It wasn't necessarily scummy, but it wasn't pro-town.

K well that doesn't seem unusual for the first day of D1 from anybody. And you ignored my question about ND saying I sheeped ghug, even though you've already told him you don't think I'm a follower. So do you think I was sheeping ghug and therefore "following" in this game?

It actually moved it towards scummier side for me sadly. ND knows very well his wagon wont be a "goldmine of information". Not any more than any normal wagon on D1. There being pissed off town votes on it actually strongly reduces the information. He truely doesnt care about the pressure Vash thing just because he skated to the endgame by lurking once upon a blue moon (we've all done that).

Also he blatantly kicked against the logic of it being a gambit to attract kills, saying he plays like this every game. Which is blatantly false, because all his games use different shades of playstyles. He has had plenty of games where he barely insults anyone, but just makes snide comments to show people his displeasure. This playstyle was done intentionally, and the mark is moving more towards scum wifom for me.

And before anyone asks: ND is a way more competent scum player than you guys currently imagine if he puts his mind to it. He is easily on Kgray's level.

He's the opposite of kgray. Hard to read but not strategic.
