Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
We got nothing mechanical, right? We don’t know who saved Maniac’s vengeance… (I assume he did appoint someone.) And we don’t know which side protected whom.
I think Maniac would have targeted seth. But it is worth more careful analysis.
It appears to me that for now, folk are voting their #1 scum read.
So ##Vote Seth.
@vecna, you got anything you can show me why I shouldn’t do that?

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
So here is a thought I've been thinking.
What if kgray and macca are buddying me? Because they see that i am laying low enough to not get daykilled in mid/late game?
Their townreads of me are, of course, brilliant. But perhaps too enthusiastic?
Kgray was willing to kill me at one point. But that could fit, yes?

If Maniac chose a town, we'd have two dead. It has to have been a save of no-pick.Vecna wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:36 pmWhy are you jumping straight to a scum doctor? Why couldnt it be a town doctor save? Why are you suddenly so sure that any target maniac wouldve chosen is scum as opposed to town?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:28 pmCan we assume scum has a doctor and guessed right Maniac target or Maniac just did something stupid like choosing Bo or not choosing at all?
I just feel I am entering paranoia mode, as I don't have a single solid townread now. I started to think this Vecna/Ghug could be scum theater. But if this is the case it's better just concede.
Your logic is really absent this game Rdrivera
The most likely outcome is that all targets that Maniac was considering killing were town, and scum were hoping for an easy double tap.
You claim Rdr's logic is absent, but yours is wrong.

I assume buddying means working together, in which case: no.dargorygel wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:35 pmSo here is a thought I've been thinking.

Too enthusiastic? Any townreads I would have done would not have been enthusiastic (I would check them, but I can't get to the bot).
I am very willing to kill kgray today.

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I think that bunny point is really interesting, and it's something that had crossed my mind before. Definitely worth a look.Chaqa wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 9:59 pmWasn't going to bother with an EoN post, but there's at least a possibility that Maniac gets killed and shoots me tonight. If that happens, we're in a really bad spot (6-4 assuming mafia recruited), so I want to put my thoughts out there.
Damo - Mild townread here. Hasn't done much of remark and I don't think I've really interacted with him, but him calling out my assumption on the Double Vote seems like a town tell?
Dargo - Definitely the Fruit Vendor, possibly mafia? I think FV is useful for mafia to mess with Faith Healers, if I'm understanding that correctly, so I could see scum taking the role, but I've not gotten a scummy vibe from him, so I'd lean slight town here.
Bunny - Bunny hasn't been drunk bunny yet. Probable scum.
Ghug - #1 town boy. Deal with it, that's all the reasoning I need.
Jamiet - I've been super back and forth on Jamiet all game. Day 1 still makes some sense if he were scum, but it's not 100%. I'll say moderate town for now.
Kgray - I've covered some reasons why I think Kgray is scum. Originally it was just a feeling based on her not seeming like she was investigating and probing like she does as town (very much a detective type). However, once I started pushing her, I was pretty certain, and my three-way lock vote on her idea REALLY upset her, but for the wrong reasons IMO. To me that entire interaction made it extremely blatant that she is scum.
Macca - Lurker scum. GG EZ
Maniac - There's a small chance he is a scum!Vengeful, but I don't think so, unless he was recruited and random'd into this role. Not much else to say here.
Rivera - Public Vanilla. Could be scum.
Seth - Like a slightly more active version of Macca. Scum.
Vecna - I forget exactly what it was now, but some interaction and comments by Vecna earlier made me feel he's very much town and I haven't had anything happen to change that read. Voyeur is not a role I think mafia would bother with either, so it seems unlikely he is anything but a good crewmate doing his tasks.
Some of this is more fleshed out than other. Just how it goes. I'm much more confident in my town reads than my scum reads, outside of Kgray

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Unless Maniac targeted someone he didn't mention yesterday I don't believe it's a town doctor save. A town doctor should have targeted a town read player like you, Maniac or even Ghug. Maniac having one of you as Vengeful target is beyond possible even for him.Vecna wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:36 pmWhy are you jumping straight to a scum doctor? Why couldnt it be a town doctor save? I still think he might have screwed his order somehow,, because doctor isn't a likely role scum will pick (could be the recruit).
Scum going for Maniac kill means they either aren't on Maniac list or have a doctor to target one of them under risk.
Could you enlighten me how you see this differently?

I answered before. This is what I thought when I see the night result and I still think a scum doctor is more likely then a town doctor.

why is everyone in this game suddenly pretending that they have amnesia on how a doctor works?

I am starting to wonder if Ghug is buddying me. It's starting to get me nervous.
