Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Can someone explain to me the rdrivera situation? Earlier there was talk about him being a 'safe' daykill for town. But i didn't understand it.
If seth does not come back, we probs shouldn't daykill him, with no chance to claim.
I am thinking about Maniac.
I believe maniac is town, and is Vengeful. I generally trust Maniac’s reads. So if he is town, and we kill him, we get a scum in exchange. If, by some chance, he is actually scum, and we kill him, we have the same exchange.
He seemed to mildly expect to be Daykilled, today. I do not find joy in another day like today, controlled by Maniac’s whims.
The downside obviously is that we would at worst have two townkills today.
Thoughts?

Sorry, I skimmed the last few pages - lying on what?
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I guess it's possible he's town vengeful and hasn't seen Maniac's claim, but if that's what's happening, this game may be hopeless.

Gotcha. Thank you for completing the English-to-Bunny translation.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:39 pmThat's why I said "trying". It was too blatant to be real, I think.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:37 pmThank you for exercising your heavily weighted vote. Mine matter jack all for the presidency, but has some bearing on the senate.
I am aware that subtle non-informed things are town slips. This was above and beyond. The "townslip" to me was that they recruited him. He was saying "I wasn't an original scum", but then he layered it with an error about getting his role. Which is what he'd know if he was town.

Considering Maniac's list he gave, I do not trust his reads at all right now. Pretty sure he's got at least 4 town on that list.dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:40 pmCan someone explain to me the rdrivera situation? Eh. I don't get any scum vibes from it. Seems he's just implying his role is a positive-costed one.

I am not sure he has given us his true reads, due to the ploy he is ploying. He would want to keep the scumroom in the dark.Chaqa wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:42 pmConsidering Maniac's list he gave, I do not trust his reads at all right now. And I did say, "generally."

Killing Maniac is dumb if we think he's town (which I agree is the most possible). We get his ability on a nightkill too.
People don't get to be immune from daykill because they announced they'd be gone for EoD, especially in a setup where the difference between most and least useful roles is less extreme, and scum could be most of them anyway.

Or, negative-costed. The one that costs them money
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I read it as "my role is expensive".

I agree in general about the Maniac thing. Just thinking things through.
Did ole seth say he was going to be gone, or did he just disappear?

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
That isn't what he actually said, though. My take is his role is in the 5 to 15ish cost region.
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Same, but I think it's probably best to not DK him, and just ignore him if he tries to do this again tomorrow.dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:40 pmCan someone explain to me the rdrivera situation? Earlier there was talk about him being a 'safe' daykill for town. But i didn't understand it.

The rivera situation, as I understood it, was that Maniac thinks we should DK Rivera as policy because he's vanilla and Maniac thinks there's a good chance sum!Rivera would have chosen that role.

I do think it's odd bo hasn't "released" my vote off kgray yet, though (unless I missed it) since ghug and Jamiet were very eager to do so.

Thanks... and teacon also believed that rdr might be scum.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:49 pmSame, but I think it's probably best to not DK him, and just ignore him if he tries to do this again tomorrow.dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:40 pmCan someone explain to me the rdrivera situation?
