We are very happy to announce that as of today Ghost Ratings are fully integrated into the site. Along with this change comes a redesign to profile pages. This is the largest set of server-side changes we have ever brought to the site and we're very excited about this.
Your Ghost Ratings will now be calculated as soon as a game finishes for each category, and you will no longer have to wait till the end of the month to see your score change.
Over the next several weeks we will be adding some additional integrations, such as a more detailed breakdown stats page for each category.
Who?
Over the past year, Squigs44 took the lead on integrating Ghost Ratings into the site, ensuring that the past game history matched with the integrated categories, and solving for some existing bugs in the GR code. I redesigned the profile page. bo_sox48 created the new GR description page and helped with testing both the profile and GR changes.
Where can I see GR Info?
You can find your Ghost Rankings displayed on your profile! You can also see Overall Ghost Rating information on the Hall of Fame page.

Why do some of the scores not match perfectly?
During integration of GhostRatings into our codebase, several instances of the GR code not behaving as advertised were found and corrected. The following explains why some categories will show a different score than seen on the current Ghost Ratings site.
- Gunboat Category: The old GR scripts were written prior to Rulebook press being created. The gunboat category has included Rulebook press games since it became an option on webDip. This has been corrected so the gunboat category no longer includes Rulebook press.
- Full Press Category: On the GR website, the full press category was named “DSS/SoS, Classic Map, Full Press, Non-Live” but actually included variants and not just classic games. This has been corrected and this category is now limited to classic, full press only.
- 1v1 categories: All GR categories were supposed to filter out any games that ended before 3 full turns were completed. This filter did not make it into any of the 1v1 categories. This filter has been added to all 1v1 categories as expected.
- Overall 1v1: When the 1v1 variants were originally introduced, GR was reworked so that any 1v1 games were calculated into a single category. That script was later reworked to separate out FvA from GvI. When this change was made, the script departed from the original design and used a weighted average to calculate the 1v1 overall rating, rather than the Elo based rating that was originally implemented. The 1v1 overall category has been corrected to its original design and uses an Elo system.
Notes:
The chart on the new profile page is a test of a new charting library we're giving a shot. If having it creates problems once it's being heavily used we may remove it.
