Yes, but you switched to Chaqa after I posted that so I was wondering if you agreed with it.

I mean, the post contains mostly factual information I think. Its done more reporter style....no let me rephrase that...news anchor style reporting on why you vote for him. Im just missing the gritty-down-in-the-dirt-investigative-journalism and im trying to figure out for myself if thats because of your subtle meta differences between your town vs pr vs scum game.

The post is stand-alone from my read of chaqa, and it did not prompt my vote change.

Ill probably read it better later. Right now my brain is too fuzzy from starting at this forum for way too long consecutively.

Wouldnt call it lurking, but it was actively ducking the radar for sure. Hiding in plain sight, and making us believe the difference in playstyle and depth of content was not game related.

I really don't know about HR. I'm gonna be super annoyed if I he doesn't come back and explain his vote before EOD, but I'm not convinced the naked vote makes him scum.

I'm not convinced Jamie is town but the reasons for his wagon are terrible, and I wouldn't vote him today. I'm also questioning my scumread of teacon and similarly wouldn't vote for him.

I'd also support Maniac and Seth wagons.

No explanation for why Jamie looks worse, no reason to infer that one of Jamie or Flum had to be scum. Seems like he was trying to set Jamie up for the next kill.

webDipMaf has had a trend lately that scum hide among the low-posters. Jamie, for instance, has indicated his intention to vote primarily among the low-posters.

Looking at the bot's summary of yesterday, two players who might not normally be among D1's top-talkers had extensive conversations with each other. (Bo and ghug) But their actual content was fluffy. First, they had a haiku battle of ginger stuff. Which was entertaining, and it WAS a quasi joke (joiku?) phase...

But then this N they have been discussing kgray's odd comments. And yet they, while presenting argumentative arguments arguing about kgray's thoughts, motivations, and purpose in life. But actually, their argements do not really... ummm... go anywhere.

They are both often fear-killed. Low-posters are liable to early daykill. Would it be beyond these two to formulate this sort of fakery?

There IS a marked difference in their postings. One is more erudite. One is more often simply reactive. But what-if what-if what-if these two are putting on a show?

Add to that... Jaimie has not noted anything about low posters.

In conclusion, the majority of responses included some form of town telling, so I think some of these responses include fake town tells. In my opinion, some of the more questionable of these responses were those of seth, Hamilton, ghug, kgray, and bo_sox.

With that inclusion, it suddenly becomes quite a good list of scumreads. Cant believe im actually reading and agreeing with stuff produced by bozo, but eh....yeah.

OK, but that does not explain why your posting clusters seem to align with bo_sox, or why you both answered my question at the same time.

The level of difference between how HR engages bozo here, and how he engaged me last game is......very very different.

While both are sort of a similair level of abstraction in terms of how ridiculous is it to use it as a method of scumreading.

This almost feels like engaging out of guilt to brush the argument away.

Thoughts from other people? I should probably not get into another dogfight with HR this game, but at the same time, it should probably be mentioned.

I kinda like this last point, but I wonder if the difference was that he was actively pushing to daykill you already when that came up.

I would think the backup does not inherit the spirit's ability, since it uses it's ability on death and the backup doesn't inherit abilities that are out of charges.

Gladiator is really only useful to scum when it's piloted by an ignorant townsperson. So they wouldn't pick it.

Not gonna speculate about other roles, since I don't want to give them a list of things they'd be willing to fakeclaim. But I can't see gladiator being the pick, since it's a liability for the alignment possessing it, and easy enough to verify.

Why not? It was pretty clearly going to be one of the two of them, and it would let scum!Chaqa establish a scumread for the next day.

That's a townclear's reccommend. flum says he will sheep ghug, but ghug ends up following flum's reccommend. As does maniac. I'm not saying either of them are sheeping the townclear, but... they are voting with the townclear's reccommendation. Maniac's main reasoning: (because of jamie saying "mis-kill" sounds like nitpicking on a "scumslip,") is... silly. He is correct that we get info from a jamie lynch, BUT only if jamie flips scum.

@Teacon7 - that's an odd way of looking at stuff. No town players want to mis-kill, we want to find scum obviously. Show me a great case on another player and I'll absolutely be there. BUT in a guessing game with little infomation we have to play the small margins.

If a random Day kill that flipped scum gave us...

1/ Good info on D1 vote analysis
2/ Cleared another player
3/ nudged the FV heavily into being town alligned

then I think we'd take that random kill in the absence of any other strong case.

The fact that in addition to random kill we have some plausible reads on Jamie from me and town clear flum, I'm surprised this train hasn't taken off with rockets. Even Jamie must see the logic of why his kill makes sense if he was an observer.
