@Hamilton - We've not played together before. Nice to meet you.

How many games do you think you've played of mafia? How many live vs. in forum maf? How many here on webdip? How much stock do you put in meta-analysis? What do you make of damo's banana?

@kgray - same questions. Nice to meet you.

I noticed that, too. The conspiracy theory part of my soul made me wonder if teacon had been writing a lot to vecna in the QT, and it just slipped out of his fingertips.
Agree this is suspiciously weird.

##vote teacon
I think this a really bad reason to vote someone.
It's all I've got at the moment. Not particularly scumreading anyone tbh.

What do you make of damo's banana?
I don't intend to make anything with Damo's banana.
Do you think the fruit vendor visited him? Or is he making it up?

I think this is my 7th game of mafia on webDip and I've never played on a forum anywhere else. I've played werewolf irl with friends but I couldn't tell you how many times (maybe like 15?) and usually there was drinking involved so it was extremely different from this.

Meta is tricky and I think it depends on the person. In general I don't tend to focus on it too much, but last game I caught scum D1 because I knew from previous games that he was uncomfortable as scum and I could tell he was hesitant to post his thoughts. I think with most people it can be used to get a gut feeling but shouldn't be the basis of a read.

I refuse to comment on damo's banana.

Well, back for another scintillating day. I, too, want HR to come out in the open with their voting of kgray.

For now, I am going to
##VOTE TEACON

On the surface, there's something in the length of the posting that makes me consider they are trying to obfuscate from the task at hand. There also are some incongruencies from the opening day. So yes, I am going to tunnel.
Who else do you scumread, Hamilton?
Going to be HR in a moment. Seth, Bunny.
Inconclusive, and all gut/intuition at the moment. Any of those we connect on?

Played werewolf irl in the past. No live mafia, only played here. Number of games? Yeesh...I started this summer. Maybe 4, 5, or 6?
Meta? I am too ADHD in real life to place stock in meta. I don't remember shit from one game to the next. I don't know the make of damo's bandana.

Not really HR or Bunny, but I'm suspicious of both seth and teacon. Despite teacon's argument for why it's important for people to post reads lists, he hasn't been giving a lot of his own reads and his contributions are focused more on either mechanics or general strategies that don't really relate to this game. I agree that he appears to be obfuscating. Maybe that's normal for him? But I get a bad feeling about people who talk about what town should be doing but then don't do that thing.

I also want to know why Teacon can't tell the difference between Fluminator and Vecna. Their names don't even sound remotely alike.
yeah that was a derp moment. I meant fluminator.
How could you possibly have confused them??

@teacon,

Can I ask what you were hoping to gain with this exercise?

"let c = _____ = "how much the PV role helps scum"
let e = _____ = probability that scum chose to recruit
let m(rdrivera) = _____ = probability that the player dies early (either due to fearNK as town, or due to fearDK as scum)"

I feel like you're trying to ascribe mathematical relationships that may or may not be relevant or accurate to determine something that...<shoulder shrug>.

"You all should do EON reads." As someone else mentioned, a lot of talk about doing EoN reads, but no EoN reads.

I take your post on page 77 as a gratuitous discourse on...I don't know, game theory? Trying to quantify something that is personality-driven?

Obfuscation. If you're not mafia, hunt mafia.
