A member of the show crew walks up with a clipboad. "Name please."

The person speaks up. "rdrivera2005..."

The crew member looks at his list. "You're not on the list. You get nothing. Deal with it."

rdrivera2005 sighs and looks around as everyone gets ready to compete in the contest. An audible gulp is heard from his throat.

For the simple ones: rdrivera2005 IS THE PUBLIC VANILLA.

How do they work normally? Doesn't it just make it impossible for scum to ever win?

They work with people who play lots of mafia because statistically you're going to roll town much more frequently than you'll roll scum, so even if you hamstring yourself when you do roll scum you'll still win more often if people believe them.
