Taking over for missing player and not being able to retreat a unit.

#1 Post by BarrettG » Sun Sep 27, 2020 3:36 pm

in the game "The First War-2" I took over Austria from a player who abandoned tha match. The previous turn, Italy had moved into Trieste with support and dislodged a unit. During this turn I took over Austria, I did not have the opportunity to retreat the unit.

It may be that the previous player Rage Quit and purposely destroyed the unit prior to exiting the game. If this is the case so be it. But if the system bugged out and I was unable to make this decision, I then I would like to have the opportunity to fix this. Could you please check to see if there was a bug or if the previous player made that decision prior to leaving the game.

You’re sure there was an empty non-standoffed province for the unit to retreat to?

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "orders" you can see that the orders the site received during the retreats phase was disband that unit. So the player did in fact disband it before rage quitting.

Yes. Two actually. Albania and Serbia were available. What I cannot see is if the previous player purposely chose to destroy the unit rather than retreat.
