Sigh... I'm not basing it on your particular claim. If he was scum, and you claim that for whatever reason you know he is town, then you are lying. If you are lying, you are scum. I don't have to believe your claim in order to think that you're scum.

My take on the 3P question is that it's possible (assuming the whole universal backup thing as described) that EMC's slot started as null. He was no faction until he adopted whichever faction was lynched. He would not count as an additional third party, because he would eventually just join one of the factions.

@xorx: Is there more to emc's proposed lynch than Sunk Cost Fallacy? emc and Chaqa aren't allignment indicative of each other (UNLESS there is a 3P recruitment team, in which case I would think Chaqwa is a better target)

@flash: Why do you think massclaim is better now than it was yesterday (Or, more to the point, why have it so high on your list of options), and do you have any scumreads?

@Demon, it seems you're not reading the thread, so probably this answer won't reach you, but I will respond anyway: I want to lynch emc because I believe Donny was scum, and if Donny was scum emc has to be scum as well. No sunk cost fallacy there that I'm aware of.

You're for lynching a player solely because (For all intents and purposes) you already lynched that slot once and thought it was scum then. That is pretty close to the definition of sunk cost. If he is scum it's 100% the correct play, but there are now so many moving parts on that it's looking less likely than before.

Donny's scumslip seems to me as real now as it did yesterday. Nothing that has happened since has made it seem less of a scumslip. It would be a sunk cost if Donny was town. If Donny was scum, lynching him was a sound investment.

if emc is town he has more information than any other townie at this point (and has had that information since start of N1). What has he done with it? Has he examined D1 under this new light? All he has been doing it defending himself.

I don't have any issues with you scumreading Donny. That's legitimate, and not a bad premise. My one issue is this:

Because I do not know where this connection came from. All I can find from your posts is that it is because I claimed information about him, and you explicitly said that that is not it. So I am confused.

I am not sure yet if I believe your story. That's why I'm not saying xorxes is right and we need to lynch you now. I think he's tunneling a bit. But I don't think he's making up logic to argue his point.

The only reason it may look like I'm tunnelling is that emc, and perhaps foodcoats and Demon, are, intentionally or unintentionally, misstating my position, and so I keep restating it over and over. Maybe that's emc's intention, I don't know.

I repeat I am open to lynching someone else if someone comes up with a better argument than Donny's scumslip. This whole discussion with emc is making us waste a lot of time on a point of logic that should be fairly trivial. Maybe I should stop letting him drag me into it but I guess it's not in my nature.

To elaborate on bozo. He's made several rather astute observations that no-one else has bothered to do (such as calling out that Chaqa and I shared out-of-thread communication). Town points for him.

However, at the same time he has been more pedantic than usual and asking questions that seemingly are already answered?

He's also overly fond of dead Sarah at the expense of posting thoughts about other players.
