did we get an explanation on how emc both became tracker, and tracked foodcoats all in 1 night
He presumably became tracker as soon as Donny died.

One thing that just occured to me, and so I'm gonna address it now.

If donny was town, wouldnt we expect something from EMC that indicates it. Some post, some crumb.

It seems weird that he had the ability to effectively de-janitor the kill and yet held on to it for so long...
Why out himself as Tracker?

This right here? Scum play.

Neph is looking veeeeery scummy now.
Neph was one of my top scumreads EOD1, and I'm not sure how I feel about him right now, but this question I thought was reasonable.

You seem to give no value to knowing Donny's alignment for some reason, whereas for me it is one of the things that would make D1 most informative.
Ah how sweet is the voice of reason

That's weird. It sounded like something he was doing to protect himself, not something he had prearranged with you.

I will read the whole thing again to refresh the details.
Yep, he wanted insurance in the chance that I was scum (and NK'd him) so we worked out something. Cover all bases and such.
Did you not want insurance in case Chaqa is scum?
Nah, I was certain enough that he was town. He wouldn't have even thought of adding me as scum.

But what if he's 3p? Don't you love being 3p?

Wait I guess this doesn't make sense. If he's recruiting you or something he obviously wouldn't kill you....

Neph, you are also failing to realise I had Chaqa reveal the information (dejanitoring Donny)

No it comes from the idea that scum want a massclaim. It also gives him nice cover if/when it is uncovered that there is a daychat, it doesn't look as bad
The 1-10 rating doesn't require scum coordination. If anyone had taken it seriously it could give scum a rough idea of good NK targets. I still don't see the connection with daychat. It was not about a mass claim.
And yet it would be stronger with coordination.
1. Assuming they have fakeclaims, it means they can iron out who has what and how they can manipulate their answers to give them the most freedom to fakeclaim later.
2. Without then yea you are more correct. I still think that anything that forces everyone to commit can be stronger with coordination.
If there had been daychat, someone with experience would have pointed out how silly the idea was and that it would never fly. If anything the 1-10 would suggest no daychat.

Good question
Can you answer it?

Are you having problems reading?
Well if I knew why I misread it then I wouldnt have misread it in the first place.
What's bothering me is that you misread it twice.

You misread it the first time, and then you went and found it and posted it for me in response to my question, and apparently continued to misread it when you did so.

I'm starting to think Neph might be something like tanner.
Tanner?

Is that the role which wins if it dies?
Lynched I think. He's acting incredibly obtuse in some ways that I do not know what to make of it.
Is this role likely in the game? That seems gross.

It wouldn't be strange to see it, since it's a role that's been used here before.

Okay what do people think we gain from lynching emc?

We don't KNOW donny was scum or town, so we are just inferring from donny's presumed slip we should lynch emc.

Any other reasons?
For me that's the main reason, it pretty much tells us Donny's alignment (which I think was scum, but I can't be 100% sure of course).

I already said that I'm willing to lynch someone else if there's a better case. I don't find "emc is supposedly the tracker so we should wait" a terribly appealing reason to lynch someone else, because whoever we choose will also potentially be a good PR. So I don't think our decision should be mainly based on what role someone claims (unless we're about to lynch someone that claims oracle or something).

If you are convinced emc is town or that someone else is more likely scum then by all means make that case. But saying don't lynch him because he claimed tracker I think is a poor reason.

See, the major issue with xorx's train-of-thought is that if Donny was scum, why is he believing me in regards to the 3P inheritance then? It doesn't hold up and feels like an excuse.
I don't believe nor strongly disbelieve the 3P story. I think it is possible that you were 3P and inherited whatever Donny's role and alignment was, but also it is possible that you are just Janitor, or Janitor's teammate and you came up with the 3P story to tell something to Chaqa. Or you came up with it in collusion with Chaqa (less likely I think).

Whatever the case is about your particular role, and I don't have a strong opinion one way or another, the only way you can be aligned with town is if Donny was town, and that's the part I have a hard time believing.

I already explained this several times already, so you questioning my train of thought here does not do you any favors with me.
