*alarm bells sound*

WE HAVE AN AUSTRIAN SOLO
I REPEAT, WE HAVE AN AUSTRIAN SOLO

gj ibuprofen
I soloed with Austria (and it was easy) and lost with France (didn't know we can draw when losing....). I am probably doing something wrong.

Oh, those bots are absolute evil
In all my three games all of my neighbours attacked me from Spring 01 - i barely survived to a draw as France, and was killed in moments both as Austria and Turkey

Maybe i'm not the best player in the world, but I'm not that bad when playing with humans. I'm beginning to believe you really need to talk to them and possibly flirt with them if you just want to survive

I just finished my last game. I soloed with Russia and Italy, and got a close four way with Turkey, France nearly soloing the latter, but held him off.

I was trying to work out where I stood in the rankings, it seems like some players have played more than three games? Why is that, are they just playing round 2 ahead of time?

Some updates have been made to the bot to try and enhance its unpredictability in certain scenarios. If you have played your first three games and want to replay them with these changes, you are free to do so as long as you please simply PM me the URLs to your three new games.

Remember that this tournament is intended for all of us to get to know the bots and to have fun playing them, not just to crown a champion. But we'll do that too.
Early birds got the option to replay because of an update.

So it will be the 3 highest games by ID that count?

Also, wow, that's a huge advantage to those players who get to effectively enter twice! I feel bad for whoever ends up 21st and missing out because of this. Or is there a compensating rule to qualify anyone who would make it without the bonus games?

Unofficial current standings:

1. 600p. Balki B., Floodgates, MadMarx
4. 480p. Scarabus
5. 460p. Irilyth, pyxxy
7. 440p. genghiz
8. 420p. edwolliver, RoganJosh
10. 400p. bozo, CaptainMeme, Chaqa, Damo666, rdrivera2005, Tobieee911, yuuki
17. 360p. mhsmith0, xorxes
19. 300p. higginsboat
20. 280p. BobMcBob, micha

All of these have played their three games. Closest in the hunt is:

Ghostmaker and Tugster with 260p. and one game.
Cleasar with 200p. and two games.
Fortress door, Garagenpunk, ibuprofen with 200p and one game.

Then there's a bunch of more people with one or more games to go who could still make the cut.

No, you had to PM Bo the gameIDs of the new games beforehand.

I don't believe there is. You can read back to find the reasoning behind allowing a replay after the bot update.

So I was just reading back, and noticed the bit about the bots being different. Like different personalities? Any feedback on which ones worked best? And how many are there total? Just 6, or is that randomised too?

There are two and each bot has a 50% chance to receive each personality. There newer version is trained to stab their ally more often (when they think it's right).

Sure, but the new games must be the ones that started later, no?

Anyway, I agree with RoganJosh above, so I'm pretty sure I've got it right. It would be really nice for me if England would kill France in this goddam game:

I got 2 solos (France and Russia) and 6wd (Germany). I think that's 440 points.

I saw a comment about messaging with the bots. Is that allowed? Since they were bots I assumed this was gunboat. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

Would it make any difference?
