Your DM woke me up, and I would have gone back to sleep if I hadn't noticed you using the phrase "Folk Law" not once, but twice. I think it was Octi who pointed out that it's either trolling or next level meta. Honestly, if it were a measure of putting all this gibberish forum posting out there to mask your actual press style in game so that all the old crusty players can't figure out who you are so they can ally together and curbstomp you into Oblivion by 1903, I'd actually tip my cap to that.

I'm still not sure if it's enough to get me up from sleepy sexy vampire time, but it is enough to crack open the coffin lid and peer out with narrowed eyes in suspicion at the damn kids playing on my lawn.

I guess you probably have no idea who I am, but I can tell you that I'm not the dude for whatever it is you got going on. From the cut of your jib, I'm assuming you thrive in that world of braggadocio and trash talking that I don't vibe with. Hey, that's fine; more power to you. I just don't live there. I'm far more of a chill and friendly guy who'd spend as much time thinking up ways to work in pop-culture references in public press as find creative ways to execute daring moves and cunning stabs. I hope you get lots of like-minded people to game with you and have a wonderful time.

Whatever it is you're looking to prove, I do hope you find it. Me, I all but retired after winning the 2020 Master's. Man, that feels like a lifetime ago. Oh! That and helping Team Greatest Lakes get to the Finals of the 2021 World Cup after engineering a 7-way draw in a Wilsonian game. Boy were people pissed about that! But it was fun. Does Goldfinger still manage those big tournaments anymore? Did he retire, too? I don't keep up with news much these days. Anyhow, I hope your thing here generates the interest you're looking for.

Truthfully, I am just trying to see if there is any life left in this site. Trying to bring back a little friendly competition. Although unfortunately, the higher ranked players all seem to have left for other places, retired or are too busy to play. A real shame really. All those tournaments of the past and now there is nothing.

While I appreciate his contributions here, half the recent posts whingeing about the site were started by Ginge too lol. Can't complain though, if he's the only forum poster who's not an advertising bot I guess we have to take what we can get.

No idea who 3 is, invited both to the game but they haven't read it yet.

Also invited number 7, 8 and 15 - all ignored the message, along with some other less highly ranked players

It seems that most of the high ranked players, either no longer play, have left the site or are no longer interested in competition.

I am glad I have tried to bring it back but I am sad to report, that it seems there is little demand on this site for high level games.

I will however keep trying, we have 3 in the top 18 already signed up, so hopefully I can find at least 4 players who still want a bit of healthy competition.
