Good times for live games?

#1 Post by GracchusBabeuf » Sun Mar 20, 2022 3:34 am

I am new to the site and was hoping to play some live games at some point, preferably full press or gunboat on the classic map. Are there specific times where this would be more likely to succeed? So far not a single person has joined.

Also, would people be more likely to join if I set a phase switch?

I suspect that filling live games is currently challenging because a fraction of the player base is involved in the Meta speedboat tournament. I'd definitely have joined several of the games you've been setting up if not for the tournament. Even previously, filling live games was not automatic. Ones starting around 7-9PM EST had the best chances from what I remember.

Setting a phase switch might help a little bit, but time settings preventing an overly long game are more important. 5 min/phase for gunboat and either 5 or 7 for press.

Thanks for the tips, I'll keep that in mind.

Any idea when the speedboat tournament ends?

The tournament seems to be in its later stages, but it is difficult to guess an end date.

Why not join the tournament? You'll play live (Gunboat) games and get paid to do so!

Wait I'm still able to join?
