Hi there, we urgently need someone to take over a position in an ongoing game. Press, SoS scoring, 1 day phases. The players seem chatty :)

I see a lot of games in the open position list have a "BotGame" flag. What does that mean please?

It means one human player is playing against AI bots - 6 of them in a Classic game, or 1 of them (of a different kind) in a 1vs1 game.
You can create a bot game of your own if you want to see how it works
