Welcome to webDip.

1. Are you looking for a full press game (you can contact other players during all phases)

or Rulebook Press? (You can only contact players during the diplomacy/move phases) (i.e. not in the retreat or adjustment phases)

or Gunboat (no press at all)

2. Are you looking for games on the classic map only ?

3. How much time do you think you need in a phase (the range is 5 minutes to 10 days)

I am game for most things. I like some of the variants like North America and Ancient Med.

Not a big gunboat fan.

I joined the site and found a good number of the were private with a log-in code.

That's why i posted on the forum.

Try this:

At the top of the screen click on Search and Game Search
Set Game Status to Pre-Game
Set Privacy to Public
(at the bottom of the screen at Message Type, uncheck Public and No Messaging
Hit the "Search" button at the bottom

This should give you the available games that are just starting, are not private games and have messaging. If you also want to see games of a particular variant, you would also set Variant to the game board you want to play.
