Hi all,

We are a group of 6 board gamers from the UK who are keen to play Dip. I have set up a game that starts 9pm Sat 25 April and we require one more player. If you are interested and can cope with the errors we are sure to make, please reply and I will pass Invite Code.

The Game Name is: “7 Pints of Middle”.

We are really looking forward to it, esp as a couple of us have had a copy of the game for about 40 years and are yet to play a full game!

Sorry, forgot to mention that we are based in the UK and although have set a phase period of 3 days, we hope to be able to meet-up on occasional evenings and complete a few seasons. As such, I guess it would help to be available during UK evenings. At the moment, this is all aspiration as we are feeling our way but I imagine it is fun to have “real time, live” discussions. All thoughts welcome - is this realistic? :-)

It sounds like it would be a good idea for your group to play one of the variants over on vDiplomacy, for instance Anarchy in the UK.

I hope you will enjoy playing Diplomacy. :)

Thanks for the advice and we will take a look at variants once we have played a few times. We now have a seventh player and are looking forward to the game. Just hoping that gjdip goes easy on us as appears to be a very experienced player!

Thanks to those who have put themselves forward to join our first game. We currently have 7 but are waiting for one to sign up. Should he not do so by 1200 GMT tomorrow, we will ask for someone else on the forum to step in.
