Hi everyone! I'm pretty new here, thanks for being welcoming and for all the fun so far! Sorry if this is a silly question...
I would love to play in a game that happens over the course of a fews hours, I'm thinking around 15 mins per phase (I miss face to face!) However, I don't feel like this style works with games beginning the minute they are filled, I unfortunately can't just drop everything and play diplomacy during the work day and the one time I signed up for such a game I missed my turns, having not realized a game had started...Is there any way of setting up a predetermined start time? Or any other way around this conundrum?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Fast game that starts at a predetermined time?

Re: Fast game that starts at a predetermined time?
Welcome to webDip! Someone who knows better should confirm, but I think the start time gets set automatically on this site with so-called "live" games (5-, 10-, or 15-minute phases) based on the "Time to fill game" field. For example, if you set the "Time to fill game" to 2 hours, then the game will start in 2 hours assuming it fills up -- even if it fills up sooner than 2 hours. At least, that's how it worked a year or two ago, when I was playing live games.
