Scoring systems and what they mean
Hi all! Can someone explain to me the difference between Sum of Squares scoring and Points per supply center scoring? They almost sound like the exact same thing
Re: Scoring systems and what they mean
Site FAQ addresses that: https://webdiplomacy.net/faq.php
PPSC has been abandoned on this site. It was a straight arithmetical progression: if you end the game with 1/4 of the SC's, you get 1/4 of the points.
SOS is explained in the FAQ, but basically its a geometric progression, so better rewards those with more SC's. You saw in our last game together how many more points Italy and Austria got with 11 and 12 SC's than I did as England with 7.
