A question on supporting between fleets: Can a fleet support another fleet into a body of water it borders, the way an army could support another army into a province it borders?

Besides the obvious obstacle of moving to an inland province, fleets faction as armies. They can support hold each other or support move to a bordering body of water or a province with a coastline.

Just a slight gloss on Prince William: fleets can support units in a bordering body of water or a province ON THE SAME COASTLINE.

A fleet in Rome, for example, cannot support a fleet in Venice, even though Venice does border and is on a coastline.

The easiest way to put it is that you can support a unit on or to a territory if the supporting unit can move there as well.

Important to note, this is true even if the fleet is moving to a coast you could not move to.

Fleet Gas->fleet Spain NC can be supported by fleet Gulf of Lyon, even though fleet GoL could not move to Spain NC. Because it could move to spain at all, it can support an attack to the NC, or support the defense of a fleet on the NC.
