What does the "Lock" icon mean?

In an anonymous game, instead of the usual check marks, I see a lock icon, and the tooltip says it means "this player has options this turn." What is the purpose for this function? Is there some kind of cheating code built in to when one readies their orders, that could be exploited by unscrupulous players? IOW, what is the reason why I can't know when players have readied their moves?

I should add its also a no-message game, so the Lock may be associated to that, rather than to the game being anonymous (I don't know).

It's to prevent breaking anonimity. Previously, some unscrupulous people would run scripts that checked the save/ready timestamps against all online users to uncover who everyone in their games was.

Thanks. Its crazy what some people will do to win games that are for fun only.

I want to meet these players that would use these scripts. These are amazingly dedicated people. These people really care. That's passion.
