With the tepid response, for I while I thought you'd turn the joke around and just reward the points.
This would actually be a really good way of rewarding those who were selfless enough to sign up for a pittance for the sake of the greater good.

Oh, this was definitely an April fool joke.

It was much more low key this year than previous years, but I may do something like this for real this winter holiday. We will see.
It would be interesting to give out prizes on a game theory thing like this instead of the standard luck based method.

Just getting the ball rolling, while keeping a few in the bag.
Technically your name in numerical order (as requested by Zultar) would be 357Macca, wouldn't it?

It's probably actually some kind of money-making scheme, like that Plura thing back in the day. The site owners and Admins are always trying to get into my Chase account. Don't be fooled! Zultar already has enough oil paintings on board his gold yacht.

There are quite a few concrete boats in Gloucestershire. The Purton wingdyke fleet has a load of them. They are quite majestic in a brutalist kind of way.

When I rode in it I felt kike an old timer first flying in an aeroplane. It seems impossible.

The standout April Fool's prank that fooled me (briefly) this year was this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jx_jySDkN0

I watch that channel and did detect all the nervousness on the part of the creator, but I took it as being shaken and excited about the enormity of the news. Unfortunately for all, I immediately searched the internet for more information and then realized it was a joke. :-) He got me. I did have fun forwarding it to others who were less naive than me, but probably appreciated the joke more deeply. (I'm only above novice level in chess. I haven't played a rated game since about 16, but played at about a 1600 level then.) I happen to know some very highly ranked chess players who I thought would enjoy it. But heck, most of them probably recognized the specific faked game that was analyzed, as it is extremely famous. (Just not enough for a casual player like me to see it.)
