##VOTE AGAINST Proposal 0.1 because a mountainous area would be much better.

##PROPOSE that we establish our barony in the hills of Hanaved instead. Much better.
Darvish, I appreciate your commenting on my original proposals - constructive discussion is far better than silent acceptance. Other than the fact that you are a Dwarf, I would be keen for you to explain why you believe us settling in the mountains of Hanaved would be so much more beneficial to us?

Settling as proposed in Esffilied (36,16) would mean we are within an appropriate distance from our Capital, for ease of trade. It places us within the woods, which make us more readily defensible (particularly if we take the Wood Elves with us). It has direct access to fresh streams of water at the very spring of the Moonwine river, meaning that it will not have been contaminated further down stream.

##Vote No - Proposal 0.1.2 Establish our barony in the hills of Hanaved.

Dearest Kench,

From my reading of the map, both locations are a similar distance from the capital, no?

I propose a hilly region because, well, yes, I am a dwarf and I feel my skills would be of particular use there. But also, I dislike the idea of settling in dense forested terrain. The dense woodland restricts movement, is no doubt infested with spiders, and in the hills it would be easier to construct defensive positions.

##CALLETH DUNGEONMASTER

Did the "decision" with regard to Pregame Event #1 take place in Discord also? So there is some form of voting there, or not?

##PROPOSE that we (A) accept the eloquent half-elven diplomat into our party. I am sure she will be a most useful addition.

Apologies: saying that the Esfillied proposal was close to the capital was not to suggest that the Hanaved proposal was far away.

I can see that we are unlikely to agree on this point, but the movement disadvantage of being in the woods will be negated by the natural traits of the Wood Elves, making the area advantageous to us and disadvantageous to anyone attacking us. I had assumed that the mountains would be equally difficult to traverse, but without any population benefit to counteract it.
Did the "decision" with regard to Pregame Event #1 take place in Discord also? So there is some form of voting there, or not?
My understanding is that fellow councillors decided to take part in a side quest, meaning that their actions did not require the agreement of any other councillors (so no need for voting). However, I would also value clarification from Uthwick on this point.
##PROPOSE that we (A) accept the eloquent half-elven diplomat into our party. I am sure she will be a most useful addition.
Not to big myself up too much, but as a half-elven female priestess and diplomat I already bring a good deal of this to the table. I personally do not feel that it will be necessary to use up one of our two specialist slots by welcoming Valeria to join us. For those who are unsure, my description is as follows:

Andoryn - Elven Female, Priestess. Once per phase can heal an injured councillor or remove illness from (1) populace. Passive Ability: (Positive) Is beautiful, strongly sought after and provides the colony with a bonus to reactions from foreign dignitaries. +1 Atk +1 Def

##Vote No - Proposal 0.5 Hire Valeria

I respect your opinion, but also believe in the merits of mine. I am happy to let our fellow party members vote as they wish, and we shall follow the verdict of the majority.

By the way, do we have to decide on a religion? I saw that mentioned somewhere. Or can we be atheists?

If not I guess it's a straight coin toss between Gufnork and Shub-Niggurath.

##CALL DUNGEONMASTER

Are we playing the game here, or on Discord?

Why is all this stuff going on if we're still in the sign-up phase?
Were playing on both to provide people who care about the roleplaying aspect an opportunity to add to the game behind the scenes. For the people who arent into the story and just wanna manage the colony, thats why we seperate the two facets of the game. Not to name names and single people out but theres several people who have never even posted in the discord. Thats fine. You are not required to be in the discord to play.

Just do folks a favor and not get upset if someone goes on a quest and wins you a reward for the colony.

As for the second question, its always been this way in every single simulator. Byrons, mine, all of them have pregame where you iron out where to go, and what to do. Its very common.

For official sake -
##Vote Yes on Proposal 0.1
##Vote Yes on Proposal 0.2.1
##Vote Yes on Proposal 0.2.1
##Vote Yes on Proposal 0.3
##Vote No on Proposal 0.4 - I agree that smallpox would be bad for us...
##Vote No on Proposal 0.5 - I believe that Andoryn will fill our needs for diplomatic relations early on. Considering we're a fresh colony, it would make more sense that any specialist we acquire helps us ASAP instead of 'down the road'...

From discord two more options:

Grogg, Half Orc, Stone Mason. Once per phase Grog can rush a road and complete it in a tile. Additionally Grog can spend a phase working on Quarrying Stone which adds a (1) Stone as long as he is in hills or mountains.

Passive: (Positive : Grog is loyal, hardworking, and intelligent. He can barely read and write but loves poetry.

Fralick begs you to let him join the party.

Fralick is a Bartendar. Once per phase he learns a secret. Passive (positive each phase he adds +200 gold to the barony) (Negative, he attracts criminals and adds 2 corruption)

How can I access the Discord chats using my *actual* Discord account, rather than an "unclaimed account"?

##PROPOSAL:

We establish a Council Chamber on Discord where we can make proposals and vote on them - removing the need for the game to be conducted simultaneously on two different websites.
