I vaguely recall an advert for something where a woman said she wanted to be Colonel Mustard, and the slogan was "whatever you want to be in life, be... " something or other. I think it was considered quite iconic at the time, with "I want to be Colonel Mustard" and "I want to be... a tree" being uttered by people on a regular basis

Colonel Mustard has been used in various markets to advertise the game Cluedo itself, for example:
