Hmmm, not a lot of options left I think.
- The 3 Andorran queens qualify, but seem very obscure.
- Margaret I of Denmark/Norway/Sweden.
- Several of the Italian rulers qualify.
- Claudine of Monaco.
- Beatrice of Portugal, unless the dispute disqualifies her.
- Isabella I of Castille.
- Joanna of Castille.
- Several of the Navarre rulers qualify.

None really familiar to me. I will have a guess and say Margaret I who united Scandinavia.

It's not Margaret I, but close... Can't say exactly how close, but close in some sense, not necessarily geographically.

I think the only candidates where their birtplace is known to be within current EU are:

Jeanne d'Albret of Andorra

Beatrice of Portugal

Isabelle of Castille

Joanna of Castille

Joan I of Navarre

Blanche I of Navarre

Blanche II of Navarre

Eleanor of Navarre

Joan III of Navarre = Jeanne d'Albret

Of these the only links with Margaret of Denmark I can see are

Beatrice (reigned at same time)
Jeanne d'Albret whose mother was called Margaret.

On the basis that Beatrice queenship is disputed and Jeanne d'Albret arguably better known I will guess Jeanne d'Albret (also Joan III of Navarre).

Sorry to waste a question if I'm wrong.

Si, Senior!

Finalising the Reconquista, financing Columbus, and establishing the Spanish Inquisition are to her account.

What's the connection to Margaret of Denmark. Religion?

Where are you from, Hamish? I'm surprised that you've never heard of the Catholic Monarchs.

The conquest of Granada plus the personal union with Aragón and the conquest of Navarre are similar in a way if taken all together.
