Also henceforth, I shall let thee all know that I have need of a local governor to take upon himself the governance of this dreadful rock in my stead, as to not burden myself with these mundane tasks. Local autonomy will be guaranteed if a loyal roman henchmen is found that is both capable of administrative menial tasks, and the proper amount of growling.

You are now permitted to squabble amongst yeselves, and I shall pick the least resentful creature for the task.

Ceasar wills it.

I think I don't fit in this game. I am bad at rhymes in Portuguese, in English I just can't do it.

Butt scoff, what light form laundry widow brakes?
It is da yeast and Juliet missed a bun!
All lies, fare bun and kill the envicious spoon
Who is already thick like quails in briefs
That thou, here made, tart more Claire than sea!

Or something.

Hark, is that a claim I hear, and Julia’s Ceaser did sport.
With words of hate and lies, did call me out before my eyes.

“What caused this, gentle Julius, that you will now lie and slander my name?”

*Hark, is that a claim I hear, and Julius Ceaser did appear.

The rule is not for rhyme, it seems...
But more that rhythm in each post
Follow, with form that follows close
Iambic and Pentameter.

If Caesar did brag and pow'r take,
In a way that's intended to quake;
He wouldn't be famous,
(Not even as 'Amos,')
So THIS Caesar does seem like a fake.

As much fun as this is, I must agree, talking in verse just makes it easier for scum to code messages. Pluss they are too easy to read into falsely due to word choice. If we want to get anywhere we need to stop.

Now that I’m thinking about it, we learn little from D1 so I guess we could talk a little more today, but we should stop for tomorow.

The council of Rome is calling forward the subject named Reedeer for questioning. It is the opinion of HIGH IMPERATOR Julius Ceasar that this subject might have questionable morals and could have been feigning ignorance on the matter of communication between the alleged rebel faction.

As this subject very well should have known, the ancient oracle that goes by the name of BRAINBOMB was very clear in his premonition that the rebel faction would be able to use their crystal balls to communicate amongst their scrawny lot at all times. Pretending to be unaware of this proclamation is dubious at best, and might have been an attempt at devious trickery to conceal true intent.

How does thee answer these charges Reedeer? Are thou plotting to rebel against the ROMAN EMPIRE and its vassal states?

@Vecna
The mysterious rules of this kingdom DO include one clearly stated concept... claiming benefits the scum team somehow. They receive some benefit from town making clear claims.

Why, then, did you claim the role of Caesar?

I'm not going to be steadily on today, so while I hope to be back to converse with you about this... I am going to state my suspicion.

You are an experienced and clever Mafia-player. You read the rules. I can't believe you would MISS the anti-claim aspect.

So I am wondering if you are 'baiting' other players to claim, following your example. Even if you only got one or two of us to role-play in our flavor, the scummies would benefit.

Does my suspicion make sense to you?

And for those of us who like the iambic stuff:
The Brain’s Rules in this realm, (though by ‘film’ have been muddied)
Were so simply, and loudly, and oddly made clear.
Including the Rule about Claims, if we’ve studied…
ALL claims that are made cause a blessing sincere
To be placed at the feet of the SCUM Team, beware!
So this “Caesar” type claim can have only one hope.
Our dear Vecna did Claim with a hope to ensnare!
To urge other players to act like a dope!
I deduce with some caution, for Vecna’s no slouch,
That his much-sullied Claim is a ploy for reward.
While that scum-team is sitting all smug on their couch,
To cash in on rewards brought from OTHERS who Claim!
So don’t claim, noble players, and Vecna now Maim!

In reply to the presumed loyal subject that goes by the name of Dargorygel:

Your concern for the well-being of your Imperial Leader is duly noted and understood. However, your Emperor is not some helpless piece of cattle. Take full comfort in the knowledge that the Wisdom of Julius Ceasar shines bright like a jewel from the lands of the Nile. Opposition to the GLORY OF ROME will not be accepted, and any treacherous villains will henceforth make their final appearance to amuse the crowds of the Colosseum.

The problem with Vecna's theories is often the same problem that Julius Caesar himself had... full of holes.

Your attempt at ridicule has not gone unnoticed, plebeian. I shall instruct the scribe to take note of your offence.

Considering Vecna shooted Doc D1 last game I would expect him to not do something stupid again D1. Seems the secret of life is not having expectations.

Vecna apparently claimed Julius Caesar. Darg thought that could be scummy, since there's an anti-claim aspect to the setup (or claims help scum?). Vecna took another hit of Ye Olde Thymey glue and said something like "don't worry about it"...
