By the way, I'm pretty sure Chaqa is town. But since Chaqa is the only person I trust in this game, if I'm nightkilled it means there's a chance he's scum trying to make sure that I never change my vantage point or put my extremely fleeting trust in anyone else.

That’s not really fair. ghug’s actions make it pretty clear to me, at least, that he was trying to force action out of the abnormally high number of vanity wagoneers. It’s unfortunate that he and Vecna got crisscrossed when they both went to break the tie at more or less the same time, but I don’t have any trouble believing that ghug was just trying to motivate the vanity wagoneers to move.
