what do you think of events thus far?

No idea. It feels like a ton of things I'm supposed to have opinions on I barely notice, but the things I do have opinions on are things I shouldn't. I don't know what to think anymore. Kinda lowkey feels like I should just sit down, shut up, and let the big kids do their thing because I'm out of place and don't really belong.

Was only suspicious of Eden because there was too much interest in engaging with me and feeling out my view that nobody else had done. I often assume if anyone is interested in me, my interests, my opinions, or just what I have to say, there's an ulterior motive

i will say that you should never sit down or shut up in this game - it's way more fun to be wrong than to be quiet. i get that a lot of what other people are posting in a more serious way is not easy stuff to pick up off of as a new player (how people usually play, for example, is totally not there for you). however, if you were scum, what are your goals? how do you accomplish that? what does a constructive town player look like? even if you're wrong or off doing something that no one else understands, you add something by other people interacting with it.

that's kinda rambly but just generally try and create information and use the fact that you know your role to extrapolate.

interesting re: eden. do you think if he was town, he wouldn't try and engage you in the same way?

I don't know? Maybe? I have no idea how socialization really works geneerally. I kind of imagine if he was town he'd just kind of ignore me. Or push to vote me off because I'm a liability?

The irony is that I have typically said that we need to hammer more often, cuz people just obviously make up their minds and aren’t changing them, but let the game stagnate instead of moving on.

for me, the 'agreeableness is vaguely scummy' and especially the 'i am pretty good at these feel reads' set off a ton of alarm bells - what about it makes you like it?

I don’t know that you’re a liability. And while you wouldn’t have any way of knowing this, I really dislike voting people off for being perceived “liabilities” (or really for any reason other than “X is mafia”). It creates a really toxic environment where people feel pressured to act like elitist snobs to get clout and don’t allow newer or struggling players to gain experience and grow out of their initial difficulties as players.

That said, you’re probably right that there’s a strain of town players who would do that. Not me though
