Twenty Questions - Game 41

#1 Post by Hamish » Thu Jul 28, 2022 12:43 pm

1. Only yes/no questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, question master must clarify why.
3. One guess per person does not count against the total, but additional guesses by the same person do. After all 20 questions are up, three total guesses are allowed.
4. Please choose people from history, or movie/TV/literary/video game chars/etc. characters that, if you were to throw a dart out the window, at least 50% of people hit would know this character.
5. Whomever guesses correctly takes over from the previous question master. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the question master remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.

There is no correct answer to that question I'm afraid. I think Yes would be the least misleading answer.

I guess you mean if it's a human. Yes.

Is this person a hero / "good guy" in the fictional paradigm they inhabit?

The first Hercule Poirot story was published in 1920. I don't think it can be Poirot based on this answer:

Don't agree at at all. Poirot spans pre- and post-1945 so I believe damo is perfectly justified to guess that.

Yes I interpreted the 1945 response as meaning both before and after.

It's a little more complicated than that, but in the right direction. I think most people would say after 1945 was the correct answer, but technically it is a bit more complicated.

Sounds like it can't be clarified further without giving a bit hint. If we want to find out more on this issue, we can ask more yes/no questions about it.
