You said "singer, etc.." implying you were talking about music artists. I generously included, in my answer, that she was not a musical artist of any kind, singer or otherwise. Thus I feel it was also clear that I was answering on the basis that you were talking about musical artists, as opposed, for example, to painters or sculptors.
