20 Questions - Round 11

ROUND 11

1. Only yes/no questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, question master must clarify why.
3. One guess per person does not count against the total, but additional guesses by the same person do. After all 20 questions are up, three total guesses are allowed.
4. Please choose people from history, or movie/TV/literary/video game chars/etc. characters that, if you were to throw a dart out the window, at least 50% of people hit would know this character.
5. Whomever guesses correctly takes over from the previous question master. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the question master remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.

Game starts!

Alive?
No. (A bit of a short question, I'd prefer if the next questions were a bit longer for grammatical purposes, but I think in this instance the full question would be undoubtedly "Is that person alive?", right?)

1. NOT alive.

Good afternoon. Please might I enquire as to whether the person, that is the subject of this round of the guessing game, is a man?

I would like to know, perhaps, whether this individual is an American because if I know this, then I would be able to narrow down the world of potential answers considerably.

Yes (this person is identified by most people as a man [and I neither know of nor have access to sources that would inform us said person would've identified themselves otherwise]).

Yes (but I need to add a caveat here: There are people in the world that doubt the existence of that person. Most people think he wasn't imaginary though. I lean myself out of the window here but I'd guess most or all people playing our guessing game would say he existed.)

1. NOT alive.
2. male.
3. NOT American.
4. (most likely) real.

That's it. I'm having a little trouble here though since Jamie, with his last post,

figured it out practically, but didn't lock in an answer. Sooo I'm not sure how to handle it perfectly.

I think though, since V.I. said something about bad reliability during the weekend, that Jamie gets the next target?

I'm happy to declare the winner to be VillageIdiot. I narrowed it down but he actually said the name.

I'm also happy to start the next one!
