Asking three different questions about the use of a ball has slowed you down here.

For my fellow questioners, an individual sport that does not involve a ball is starting to sound like a racing sport (athletics, swimming, motorsport), although clearly there are other options.

Lets brainstorm among ourselves before wasting another question. Are there other individual, non-ball sports that we might consider? Make sure to be clear in any brainstorming posts that we are NOT asking an official question to the Quizmaster.

I'll help you out here by pointing out that answer #4 is just as significant as answer #5.

Dancing springs to mind as a potential individual, paired or team ball-less activity straddling entertainment and sport.

Brainstorming possible sports/entertainment (not a question):
Auto racing fits, not sure about dancing (seems more entertainment, less sport). Boxing/wrestling? Track & field? Other Olympic sports?

Also let's keep an eye on post #44 -- the sport/entertainment can sometimes involve teams, though this person's fame is from individual participation. So not boxing ...

More brainstorming ... focusing on "not male" ... gymnastics? diving?

If the quasi-entertainment, quasi-sport is wrestling or any martial art, I'm afraid I have to tap out. Know nothing about that.
