Forget, I saw now the EOD. It was pretty lame, sorry for not being around, but I would have not changed my vote anyway.

Who was it that said ghug was exhibiting scum-thinking? I read it... but now I can't find it.

We really need to spread our horizons a little bit. This game is awfully dull and it's not because scum aren't getting caught; it's because D1 and D2 offered us nothing worth going off of. Now we're at LYLO, even though one scum is dead. Seems harsh, but oh well. Maybe a council that isn't totally apathetic would help keep a setup like this from happening.

I hate to sound like Maniac, but we should go for some sort of ranking system. Town gets a point, scum a point taken off, and so on. People with the highest number of points are largely townread; people with the lowest number of points are largely scumread and need to be the focus of D4 if we're going to have any shot.

Here is my list, excluding myself, with each townread getting a point and each scumread getting a negative point:

Town:

Durga
thamrick
bozotheclown
dargorygel

Scum:

Ezio
rdrivera2005
xorxes

Null:

Pouncy Silverkitten

---
---

Given that, this is where the rankings would be:

Durga 1
thamrick 1
bozotheclown 1
dargorygel 1
Pouncy Silverkitten 0
Ezio -1
rdrivera2005 -1
xorxes -1

It's easy to put this list together and see where we actually want to focus. None of us actually want to do any work, so put together a list of what lynches are possible and what isn't and just blatantly ignore what isn't possible for the time being.

Maybe I am wrong about xorxes, but this is why Foxcastle should have been the lynch today.

I think it is time for all town to check and reveal their nametag. Maybe we will get lucky and a scum has BO_SOX so that the scum will be forced to come up with fake nametags. If BO_SOX is town, at least we will get a town clear.

And then what? We need info. We need debate and discussion. We get past tomorrow after lynching scum xorxes and it's still down to the wire, so what do we go on then other than what we leave ourselves? Force people to make a conscious decision of who to put where and ask questions about it. It's only shit if you let people make their list and then don't say a word about it.

The list makes this very subjective game a little more objective. (Or at least makes it seem more objective.)
I also think it's time to read our nametags.
But not until tomorrow.
Maybe Durga can read hers but not reveal until Sunday, but the rest of us should peek and tell tomorrow.
Time to stir the pot.

@ezio do you still think ghug's reasoning seems scummy? Regardless of his flip. Does the way he was thinking still seem like scum to you?

@xorxes do you think your effort in this game has been up to usual xorxes level?

@foxcastle It seems that it's going to be you or xorxes tomorrow. Why shouldn't I vote to lynch you?

How is that stirring the pot darg? Those are the same tired questions we've been asking.

@Darg - what has stood out the most to you after reading?
-Same question to Pouncy
-I'd love to get some reads from both of you since reedeer and nesdunk didn't produce much.

@Bo - why the point system? Why not just have everyone produce reads lists and compare? What would the intended outcome of everyone having a numerical ranking produce?

@thamrick Regarding stirring the pot: No serious discussion has been had in a long time about whether to peek at our nametags. Why are we not talking about it? The point was made that scum would (until BOSOX is found, anyway) not want to peek and reveal. Our waiting plays into scum’s desires, then, right? Yet we aren’t talking about it. Let’s peek and reveal.

@bo Shouldn’t we wait to list our ‘numbers’ until day?

A number of you have mentioned in the last months that scum tend to talk about themselves a lot. Town tend to ask questions about other players. While that was probably meant as a generalization, I took it as something that could be measured.

When it is day I will reveal my stats.

But what do you all think of the premise that on the whole, scum tend to talk about themselves? (justifying themselves, randomly talking about themselves, answering queries with too much gusto…)

@Tham - I agree that in general scum tend to talk more about themselves and less about the others. But good scum players as Tom and Fox can easily stay away from this kind of trap. Anyway, I think it's an interesting stat that could give us some insights.
I also agree that probably the time for a mass peak has come, but it's better done at day start.

Also a question for you (and for others): do you think it's possible all scum were in the same wagon last day and D1?

@rdrivera
I do not think it is likely... but it certainly is possible. Who are you noting? I haven't spent much time looking at voting records, yet... maybe because we have not been very successful in hanging scum, and I don't recall any exciting sudden switches at EoD... but I will look at that when I have a chance.
