Vecna voted both for Hellenic Riot and for Goldfinger as EoD approached yesterday, in what we can now interpret as attempts to save himself.

Sorry if this has already been observed, but surely this lowers the possibility of Goldfinger being the Godfather, because why would one Scum PR bus another Scum PR just to save his own skin?

I now wanted to look at whether any of the scum voted for Maniac, ever. So I've looked.

On D1 none of the confirmed scum voted for Maniac.
On D2 absolutely nobody in the game voted for Maniac.
On D3 none of the confirmed scum voted for Maniac.
On D4 Vecna voted for Maniac, but only for 20 minutes well before EoD.

Having said that Maniac was never more than a 2-vote wagon at any point in the game so far.

I completely disagree here - Vecna was hella reluctant to vote Goldie and it took a lot of pressure to get him to flip, and he stopped fighting as soon as he did it. Vecna tried to make it Me vs Him earlier on, and failed, and then gave up. Gold scanning inno fits completely with my already existing theory that he's the GF.

Sadly however ghug is right, we keep him and Maniac alive regardless.

Probably time to revisit VCA when I find some time.

Ok so let's think.

Goldfinger and Maniac both scanned "innocent" for DemonRHK, while Durga of course scanned "guilty". That's what we know from the scans (thanks, DemonRHK, good job).

Either Goldfinger or Maniac could in fact be the Godfather. DemonRHK thought that Maniac probably was.

They were both already in the scum pool.

I think it's reasonable to wagon them because if one of them is the Godfather, then the other one is towncleared.

Yeah this tracks I think.

So the only notable scum votes involving Goldfinger or HR were Vecna's votes when he was at risk of death.

Thinking about this, and thinking again about, DemonRHK's scans, I would therefore theorise that either:

1. Hellenic Riot is a Goon, and Goldfinger is Town. In this case Maniac could be Godfather or Town.

2. Goldfinger is the Godfather and Hellenic Riot and Maniac are both town.

3. Goldfinger, Hellenic Riot, and Maniac are all Town and our focus on HR vs Goldfinger has been an enormous red herring.

I would rate these three possibilities in the above order.

Whilst I strongly believe #2 is accurate, there's some major flaws in this post.

1) If I'm a Goon there's not actually anything to rule Goldie out of being the GF anyway.

3) ... What focus on Me vs Goldie? I explicitly avoided voting him for the first 90% of the day yesterday to make sure that the thread did *not* devolve into a pure me vs him shitfight. Who has been focusing their entire attention on that? Certainly not you.

I don't think it's super likely Donny is scum based off Durga and celaph trying to flash wagon him on Day 1. Bob likewise seemed to be scum's preferred wagon there.

Gold and Maniac are out of the running today for the obvious reasons.

Kgray and ghug and Jamie seem to be likely town for several reasons.
