It would be perfectly possible for the Doc to think a given person was the Cop, or the Cop to think a given person was the Hall Monitor, or the Desperado to have an idea of who might be the Lazy Bus Driver, etc.

There is no Desperado or Lazy Bus Driver in this setup

Goldfinger time!
Water problems D1, he gets a pass.
Almost immediately comes back with a huge post which restates a lot of events and not much else. There's a bunch of reads at the beginning. The post is fine. Then a post with reads later, which is also fine. Gold finger completely forgetting I was a wagon, especially after reading through all of the EoD, is rather strange. He does not update his case on HR as a result.

Then goldie starts talking about DL8 and roleblocks... He says that scum would likely be roleblocking their kill target, which throws shade on Chaqa. He also states that scum might have killed DL8 because of something he mentioned offhand in his wall post. "DL was for sure scum sniping for PRs" is a very odd thing to say, and why would you come to that conclusion? And who would've decided that DL8 was a good PR snipe except goldie? He later pulls up three posts where people mention DL8, but none of them suggest that his activity is unusual for him. Which is what goldie states they are. This whole thing feels... off. Combine this with the fact that it has been dredged up that goldie has soft-gloated like this before and it looks worse again.

If he does flip scum, I think Chaqa is pretty much as good as clear. And he also strangely shades the Fox/Vecna wagon for being predicated on stuff in the first half of D1, which could be another connection.

I expected to come out of this scumreading goldie, but darn, I didn't remember the roleblock thing being so bad. I honestly like a ##vote goldie to see if we can get a wagon going.

Bob, for someone who draws the (somewhat correct, I suppose..) conclusion that Chaqa would be semi-clear if I flip scum, how are you not understanding my statement of "DL was the scum team sniping for PRs"?

Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you may have never been scum before, NK discussions roughly break down into 3 reasons 1) Someone is so obviously town (hard or soft clear) that they need to go. DL obviously did not fit this 2) This person might be a PR, but even if they're not they're a super scary town player, so let's kill them. Very typical N1 behavior, and you often see people like HR getting killed this way. And xorxes. DL is not one to inspire fear 3) Genuine belief someone is a PR.

Why did you expect to come out of it scumreading me though? That sounds like you went into the re-read looking for evidence to back up a scumread that would be believable. Honestly with that last paragraph, the whole post reeks something terrible.

I'm more surprised you didn't catch that I said the exact same thing in my post on celaph. I do, in fact, already have an impression on someone from what I recall from the game before I go to iso them. I had an impression of you being scummy, therefore expecting to scumread you after isoing you. I'm just being transparent about my thought process. Same for celaph, which you have mysteriously/conveniently overlooked.

In fact, I scumread you more because of this. Also have you never heard of "look who's not on our scumteam kills?" Or doc avoidance kills? Maybe the scumteam didn't want to hit kgray/blamp/jamie because that's almost certainly who the doc would target. Or because they're scum.

nope. he was a wagon as town in his first game and he mostly ignored the case against him though. he seems a bit better today i think?

Awfully defensive there mate. This is based off of what I've heard of your scum game and your town game by reputation where you try to mimic your normal town weirdness as scum but then just behave in weirder ways which don't seem like you

Although defensive, I dont like TFB using meta of others read of bona as a way to hedge. It feels weak and more like looking for a reason to scumread someone.

Yeah I was coming around on him and was thinking about bumping him up to slight town because he was making better posts and promising some interesting analysis for a while but then it never came and looking back that EOD that I previously handwaved away is a little more sus than I gave it credit for

The other thing I've done so far today is iso tfb's day 2 and look somewhat into the case on him, and it's okayish. I would rather vote celaph though. I don't think TFB has been particularly scummy, although he has certainly been strange. And I like the celaph wagon.

I think a tfb wagon also makes sense. I feel like his game so far has been agree with Jamie over something stupid, push that, watch Flum get killed despite thinking he;'s town (?), and then disappearing

Was scrolling back through the thread and noticed this. I am not sure where any of my D1 posts make you think I thought Flum was town, given I spent 7 hours hammering the fact I think he was scum, articulating reasons I think others could be tied to him as a scum team member, and explicitly pushed others like bozo to vote for Flum at the EOD (also why I found the claims that I was trying to get other wagons going to save Flum or whatever ridiculous) and I don't think it's fair to accuse me of disappearing when I have the 8th highest post count, the 2nd highest word count, middle of the pack post count for today, and the highest word count today.

If breaking up my reads list into 18 posts and making my long responses with grouped posts into like 6 posts would make you think I am more engaged, maybe I'll do that next game, but this is is silly. I've also already responded to your claim that I only respond when summoned which is also off base.

reading TFB the thing that stands out to me is the repeated need to mention "i did my own research on flum, i could've been lazy, but i wasn't!!!"



this sentence from night post reads as town because of the scenario, but i guess that's pretty easy to fake.

overall his stance on me is a bit sketchy. it reads as like "i know that lamp is towny... but mayyyybeee he isnt? i get that he's townie, but he's also null. we should keep an eye on him."

@TFB how much of your weariness towards me is because i tried to push votes on you at EOD yesterday?

now that blamp is established as experienced, i really dislike this post given the rest of the interaction and boat man's general scumminess

I feel like your read of blamp is rather quickly trending scum and it's not clear why to me. What specifically do you dislike about this post? I think he has correctly identified that TFB is really hesitant in being willing to give him towncred and is asking questions to figure out if TFB is doing so as a misguided towny or as scum. That all is good towny behavior.
