I think the person who would take the time to write that kind of pompous exit note could definitely try to throw in a fake town tell to make town look dumb for his own selfish amusement.

Damos theory on mafia focusing on people who aren't likely to be daykilled seems like a plausible assumption. They can eliminate enemy mafia who look scummy through day kills, so looking for enemy mafia who might outlive them is their real threat, no?

Mafia have been pocketing me because it helps them stay alive probably. I've also been mostly townread but also bad at scumhunting the last two games, so buddying someone like that and keeping them alive gives good value for endgame too. I just need to stop trusting people so they can't take advantage of me anymore.

For the second question, mafia don't need to kill anyone who is openly scumread because those people will be daykilled anyway. By focusing on townread people they can potentially kill the scum who won't otherwise die.

Durga didn't actually do too many strong pushes that would result in a scum team obviously want to kill her. She talked a lot about how she wanted people who were less active dead so I could see the other scum team having less active players.

I also think this means at least one of Durga's teammates is relatively active.

If you check her ISO she talks a lot about how lower posters should be killed. I don't think she'd be pressing that if both her partners were under the radar because if that narrative gets traction she's just making things harder on them all.

I get the conclusion that Durgas scumpartners probably aren't lurking.
What I don't get is the conclusion that the other team has lurkers based on what Durga said.

If Durga's narrative was "we should kill lurkers" I could see that encouraging the team to fearkill her, scumread or not.
