Sleepwalker – Appears as Vanilla Town, receives a Vanilla Town PM, and wins with the Town of Webdipa. However, at night, this player randomly targets another player.
But how do they know they are sleepwalkers. Like how do they randomly target a player?

This is naïve. At the very least, he's a clear you have to kill eventually anyway. At most, he gets lucky and scans your killer. If I'm scum and he's town, he's 100% dead right now.
Now, if I'm scum and he's scum, Snowy's a perfectly good candidate.
Why? The tracker is not that powerful. Why not let a heavily doubted claim stew for a day or two and see if you can force a DK on him while killing townies perceived as strong hunters?
Clears win games. I'm not discounting the possibility that someone did do this, but I think it was bad play if they did, and I'm a little incredulous that anyone whose opinion I respect wouldn't agree with me here.
The tracker doesn't give clears. There is a 1/3 chance you find out that your scum target targeted no one if you scan a scum target. You can find lost siblings or the sleepwalker if they happen to target the NK victim. This isn't a game where we have a copy with a miller and no godfather where you can trust all clears but not all guiltys or a game with a godfather and no miller where you can trust all guiltys but not all clears. This is a game with a tracker who can be wrong on both ends and doesn't give us certainty on anything besides the identity of the lost sibling or a sleepwalker which they may not even want to reveal for days. Maybe I am stupid and missing something but I seriously don't see why killing Snowy here wasn't the right idea here or why it gives us any alignment indication for Kakarot.

They don't know they're the sleepwalker. They randomly target a player without knowing they're doing so. It's to complicate the tracker role (though arguably it actually makes the tracker more useful).

ok cool so this is what you realization was. Yes this one clear along with corroborating the lost siblings is the only nice part of the tracker.

The tracker itself is clear. If Kak's the tracker, they have to kill him at some point.
It also can clear any of the other town PRs and could catch the scum performing the kill. It's far from useless.

No, the realization was that if Kak is scum, he's the one who's doing the killing, so the tracker can't get any guilty scan at all. Didn't I already tell you that?
