Noone is certain that is what happened here. Were merely suspecting. His level of attention to clever detail isnt as high this game as what were used of him. His reasoning at most times is a bit more simplistic.

EVERYONE could see something weird was going on with Tom.

The strength of Celaphs arguments when he was going toe to toe with you was in him pointing out that you were singular is your opinions.
