Assume Chaqa is town for now. If he's not, the cop is getting scans, and should be allowed to keep doing so until they're at risk. There's an argument the cop should claim tonight, since this shit does look like cop hunting, but there's no reason whatsoever to do it now.

That's probably fair. It's just frustrating how much of the game is focused on the bizarrely small scenario that there's a 5d chess move to set up Chaqa cop as a fake and it's so annoying and uses up so much of our time.
It's probably a factor into why Flyingboat was manipulated into pretty much wasting the dead scan.

Like if Chaqa is scum pretending to be cop, this is not how he plays if he knows a real CC is coming any moment.

If Chaqa is the cop, we know Flum is town. So Mafia should shoot Flum. If Chaqa is scum, Mafia shoots Flum and... Get rid of a townie while leaving open Chaqa as being cop. But, PR hunting makes sense too. Makes it look like a claimant is in the scum pool, and wants to be sure they're unclaimable

(also, as an aside, our JOAT claimants scans are... Not giving that much information. If I was doing wild ass guessing, I probably would guess that. Chances of Mafia going for a fake claim and hoping they kill the JOAT is... Low, I'll admit. But a thought)
