Because you're trying to change the subject. I'm answering the question at hand.
Obviously he's accusing you of doing something scummy. Nobody is denying that. My issue is that you're reframing it as a much more intense accusation than it is in an attempt to write it off as absurd. It was something worth noting, and he noted it. Your over the top reaction is also worth noting.
