Just re-reading the mafia scum link:

In practice, the Jester almost always wins, which is an obvious balance concern. 12-players is probably not a favourable number to house three Mafia and a Jester for town.

Is it worth a GM call to determine the message non-PRs that get roleblocked get? Would they get a message?
Hamilton (and also Johnny) possibly faking lack of knowledge on how roleblock a work?

Oh, piss off. How many times have I been a PR?
The question is whether or not you and/or JBH could be fake town telling, since if either of you were mafia you presumably would have discussed the RB with your teammates N1.

it does not provide feedback whether an actual role was stopped from functioning.

I do like the persistency on your questioning. Weak assumption; scum might be less inclined to persist while people are uttering suspicion.

stallion, how do you feel about "blending in by asking 1000 questions"
Venka, you have probably read or skimmed or skipped every post I have ever written. How is a newbie to figure this crap out except by asking? You should know better.

I am starting to wonder about you.

Comon now Chaquito, you know I just learning crap.
If you are mafia you certainly would have learned about the RB N1, so asking about it now is a town tell. However, it would not be unprecedented for a mafia member to pretend not to know about the RB to look like town, which would be a fake town tell.

I don’t think mafia would roleblock their kill target normally on night 1.They’re looking to maximize disruption of PRs, so I’m tempted to believe Snowy.
Don't mafia rb the kill target in like 70% of games here?

This feels concocted to make me townread you. I'm flattered, but I've seen through your duplicity. Sorry.
Ah, you poor innocent lambs. It seems that you shall not be spared at all.

For you see, I have a power beyond your mere comprehension. A gift bestowed upon me by the lunacies of chance and the blessings of the heavens. I have no cause to fear your judgment nor anyone else's, for you see:

I cannot be mislynched. I am invincible.

It seems that this will be one of those games, where I am perennially scum read. I can already catch the scent of it in the air, spreading. Some of you will rage, weep, and tear at the frothing and unrelenting frustration of failing to convict me time and time again as you scream and beg at who you perceive to be your friends that it is so obvious, it must be snowy why won't you just vote him with me.

But at the end of the day, it shall be some other sucker hanging from the noose. I have been there. I have seen it all. Even when we correctly find scum hanging from the other end some will still argue that my death would have been more revealing - that the information gathered from my death would have revealed more about the truth of the game. And it shall not be disingenuous entreaty either, but true town believing with every ounce of their words this argument.

Invest in salt swaps, my friends. There is value to be gained.
Psst, you used the L word again.

You showcased plenty of thought in your previous game, and day1 is over. Just because you could be wrong does not mean you should stop sharing your thoughts.

I will assert it tickled my ivory and ebonies when I read it.

I feel like I have to go back and rework all of my town/mafia leans...which pisses me off because I will be useless tomorrow.

So Vecna....Vecna, Vecna, Vecna, you of the unknown persuasion. YOU of the "null" read from HB. What do you think of Foodcoats. They are in my upper tier of mafia reads BUT I have been on the bad end of killing Food in the daytime before. What are you thinking?

Roleblocks are one of the most basic principles of mafia, and you have played mafia (the team/role) before, so you should know how they work.

We are dumb, clueless, and taking shots in the dark.

Only 1 person know they're the Jester.

Only 3 people know they are mafia and nothing else.

We've got a couple PRs that know their roles.

We've got a lot of insinuations and misreads.

Can we get anything out of D1 votes? Or was all of my persistent navel gazing in vain?

Don't get all elitist/uber-mafia player on me. The gift of being me is that I've not been a PR but for neighbourizer 1 time and then a 3P before so I fall back on ADHD Brian mode of "only pay attention to what you need to." Everything else was always vanilla so...no paying attention.

I mean yeah, tunneling is usually town bozo. I only take issue with the part where you like his play.

I think your base assumption that (as I perceived) there must be scum on the wagons or influencing made you come out with some wild takes, like assuming JBH must be scum (couldn't really follow the logic there. All in all, I think you committed the cardinal sin of trying to fit the facts into the theory, instead of just saying "what exactly happened here."

Though maybe I wouldn't be thinking that were I not one of the wagons, who knows.

Think biggest takeaways are is if ghug/food is scum the other is moderately likely to be.

Not in my experience, but maybe it's because I do that in approximately 0% of my games.
