How likely is it that Damo is scum; claimed to save themselves? If we operate under the assumption that they are, then there probably would not have been any suspects on their wagon. If there were, maybe no more than 1?

If we assume that Damo is town (regardless of claim), then there may have been more than 1 on that wagon?

Not sure "doubt" is what I am feeling. I think I am questioning it and not taking it for 100% granted. That there's no CC lends some strength to the claim BUT we also don't want a CC since there'd be an outing, right?

Re-reading the role to determine what impact any of the actions might have and what might happen if Damo isn't the JOAT.

I'll throw a wrench into your comment: only 3 scum can coordinate together in a game of 17 players, so vote manipulation is actually pretty difficult.

I'm more inclined to think coaching, content swings, or changes in style/tone/gameplay are things to happen with the daychat.

Hamilton is not just town for me because of what he did EOD, the fact that he's posting so much right now increases his town points, he just put more effort into this game than any other player

I can follow the theory of why a scum would fake claim any role, I just want to see why you are explicitly doubting damo.

So the impression I have of Damo as of 24 hours ago was...in the game, kind of null. Speculation that they were signalling for something which I later on thought, "No, probably not." I need to read the rest of yesterday before and after the vote to land on a hard side.

But I've got to do that for everyone. I feel like there hasn't been a whole lot from anyone to really get a handle on. The blessing and curse of low volume.

About damo's claim.

Even though the is no CC, there is a distinct possibility that he is lying, but I do not say we push it.

I believe that if someone claims your role, but you townread them, you should not CC as they are no protecting your role from mafia NKs.

I personally Town Damo, so even if I was the JOAT, I would not call him out, I would let him bait the NK.

If it goes on for a while, I expect the real JOAT to claim eventually. But for now, this is y rationale.



Given the way I treated dargo's claim last game, I do not expect this post to be taken well. I would however like to add that even as mafia, I genuinely did not believe dargo for a while.

I think if he's lying, he's scum and should be killed. There are ways to claim a role to protect someone, and on the block to save yourself isn't one of them.

That said, the whole "get off me, you're making a huge mistake" that Jamie does is something I think is more likely to come from town, so I buy the claim, and if he is lying, we'll find out eventually, so there's no reason to kill him without a counterclaim.
